    “Stopover at Almond Morgan Bay”

Enjoyed our 1 night at Almond Morgan Bay. Only slight problem was we had booked a room for 2 adults & 2 children through Expedia but hotel had only been advised of 2 adults and our room only had 1 double bed. On notification, Hotel responsed well, and offered us a move or to bring in 2 extra single beds. We chose the latter and whilst we were at Dinner all was taken care of. All inclusive represented good value and mean at Morgan's Pier was excellent. Would recommend this Hotel.

“Great first time to the island stay...”

Our stay was wonderful! The staff and all of the people we met on the island were so friendly and willing to make sure our stay with them was perfect! The room was clean and the beach was beautiful. I would have enjoyed a little more variety in the restaurant options, but other than that, we were very impressed with the service we received during our stay.

    “No pressure, no problems.”

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The quality of service was excellent as was the food and drink. Exceeded our expectations in every area. Impressed with the free water sports and the evening entertainment wasn't bad either but we would recommend spending some evenings away from the hotel i.e. the street party in Gros Islet. The hotel organised a taxi for us for this event and the driver was very good showing us the sites and making us feel at ease.

    “Extremely pleasant stay”

Quite close to Castries, the Almond Morgan Bay is just off the main road traversing the island. We hired a car in Vieux Fort and drove over, allowing us to explore St Lucia as well as having the benefits of an all-inclusive. The hotel was great, with extremely welcoming staff, who were both helpful and friendly. I really appreciated the slightly formal touches- booking into a restaurant for a proper a la carte dinner each night, dressing properly in the evening etc was all marvellous, with none of the awful cattle market buffets for evening meals. The watersports were lots of fun, although some of the Hobie sails are getting slightly tired, but the staff couldn't have been more helpful or vigilant. You do have to sign up for things early tho, as they get booked up quickly. The beach is quite small for the size of the hotel, but wasn't particularly crowded, despite the myriad of sun loungers. For the first time, my partner is actually talking about going back soon! I shall certainly be joining him.

    “Horrible staff”

Don't be fooled by picture! The staff are rude especially the female staff. This resort is a real snooze, if your looking for entertainment stay somewhere. If I could give this resort a zero rating I would! Do not stay up on the hill the view is not worth the hike, trust me.

“Lovin' St. Lucia & Almond Morgan Bay Resort”

Just returned from 5 wonderful days in St. Lucia and the Almond Morgan Bay Resort, celebrating our 40th anniversary. Despite being the "rainy season" as well as the "off-season", we wouldn't change a thing. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a ocean front ground floor room less than 100 yards from the beach. From that point forward, we were totally impressed with the willingness of the entire staff at AMB with their cheerfulness and willing to help in any way possible to make your stay memorable. The room was well appointed with fresh flowers and personal touches that made a standard room seem much more. Being an all-inclusive resort, there are 4 restaurants available for meals, but normally only 2 or 3 are open for specific meals. Although the venue of the 4 restaurants are totally different, we found the meal selections at all 4 restaurants very good. The daily breakfast buffet at The Palms restaurant was outstanding! At all 4 restaurants we were seated immediately at each meal. Overall, we were very satisfield with the quality of food and drink during our stay. Rain showers were a daily constant....early morning, late afternoon or evening. Never rained long enough to alter or cancel plans-more of a little inconvenience and appeared to be commonplace with the entire caribbean region.

    Area recommendations
Almond Morgan Bay Resort is located at Choc Bay, which is located about 2 miles north of the capital city of Casteries. There are several sites to see in Casteries as well as much shopping available. Rodney Bay is about 5 miles north of Choc Bay, which is another main tourist area with many resorts as well as shopping and a newly-opened casino (the first on St. Lucia). The Choc Bay area is mainly residental and "quiet". Really a perfect location where you are close to shopping and additional beach areas.
    Must see
Used Barefoot Holidays for tours in St. Lucia and they did a fantastic job. Picked us up at our hotel for each tour and returned us at the conclusion. Best tour was the Catamaran Day Sail tour which was an all-day affair lasting 8 hours. It was a combination of boat sail and land trip to see the most popular attractions in St. Lucia. Started by sailing from the Rodney Beach area to Soufriere where we boarded a mini-bus to take us to the Diamond Botanical Gardens and waterfall, the drive-in volcano and sulpher spring and a cocoa plantation for tour and lunch. These attractions are in the shadow of the photogenic Pitons and are quite majestic. We returned to sail back north and stopped for some swimming and snorkeling in a quiet cove and a brief visit in Marigot Bay before concluding our journey where we had started earlier in the morning. Do not miss this tour!! Additionally, we used Barefoot Holidays for tour to the Rainforest tram and Rum Distillery as well as our taxi service from the airport to our hotel.

    “Good all rounder”

If you have children and you fancy going to St Lucia chose this hotel. There are kids clubs for all ages and it is safe enough to let your older children enjoy their independance and make friends while you relax and do your own thing. There is good food and drink available all day so your family can do what they want and eat when they want without the worry of how much you are spending. The water sports is well run and safe, and offers pretty well everything with instruction from sailing, canoeing, banana boat riding, water skiing, cricket and football on the beach, all included. There are four good tennis courts, table tennis and pool if you fancy a game. There are four good sized pools two adult only, including one with a swim up bar. There are 5 restaurants to suit all tastes including one adult only. There are rooms in different locations to suit all requirements from a spacious room for a couple to a comfortable room for a family of four which is good value. The hotel is located in a quiet area on it's own, but not far away from anywhere you would want to visit in the north of the island. I have lived on the island for a year and we often used to visit the hotels for a swim and lunch, and this is where I choose to stay with my family when I re visit St Lucia.

    Area recommendations

    “Great place to stay”

This was a great place to stay. It had everything we wanted on site. You didn't have to leave the complex if you didn't want to. The staff are very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. There were always plenty of beds to lie out on on the ebach. The choice of 4 restaurants was fab adn in addition afternoon tea was served if you had enough room!

    Dining
The French restaurant was lovely, more formal and you had to book well in advance.

“You get what you pay for”

The resort was one of the least expensive the island had to offer. Yes, it was all inclusive, which was nice. There was always plenty of food. The facilities were adequate and relatively well kept. However, the staff always seemed bothered by requests. They did offer water sports and have entertainment, like most resorts, but the quality was marginal to below. If you travel to the island, get a nice all inclusive resort because the island has little to offer beyond their boundaries. I traveled to the island, with my children, to focus on getting in some scuba diving. On the resort, Rainbow Divers has a respresentive present. I would call out to another dive shop. Marie, the manager, will take advantage of you.

    Area recommendations
We went to rain forest to get in some zip-line and challenge course fun. It's really for the average to below athelete. And you will tire of the taxi/bus rides to the different areas. You will not find any extreme activities on this island. Although, we did the scuba diving!
    Nightlife
If it's dining and clubs that you are looking for, stay close to Rodney Bay and northwest side of the island.
    Outdoors or beach
Scuba diving is about the only activity that I would recommend. The rain forest is over-rated.
