“Excellent stay in Seoul - Xmas 2008/New Year”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seoul Plaza. Excellent position near City Hall, ideal for transport links and exploring the sights of Seoul. The hotel room was first class with a great view too. Recommend the breakfast buffet! Would definitely return.
“Best location possible”
Nothing to fault with this hotel... really good. Would recommend paying the small "club" supplement for even more freebies, care and attention.
“Great location, great service”
My one complaint is the small size of the rooms (but they are very nice, very clean, very modern small rooms!). The restaurant is expensive but they are plenty of places to eat just behind the hotel. Great location -- walking distance to many tourist attractions. Most taxi drivers seemed to know it so you can find your way back even after the subway closes.
“Will definitely go back”
We chose this hotel for its central location and also relied on previous travellers reviews. We were not disappointed. All the staff were extremely helpful and found the facilities excellent especially the gym and pool.
“Ideal location”
This hotel is in the best place possible to see Seoul. Palaces and museums are within walking distance and the metro system is on the doorstep. I had a single room which was on the small side but had everything I needed. The pool is on the 16th floor in the building next door so you need to do a reconnoitre before setting out! I wouldn't bother booking breakfast it is far too expensive. For less than a seventh of the price in the hotel a breakfast is available from Starbucks or the Korean cafe both just across the road.
“Ideal location”
The hotel is situated opposite city hall, so metro connections are great. It is also opposite to the entrance to the Deoksugung Palace. The City Tour Bus stops right there, and si a great way to see the city if time is tight.
“Good central location”
I stayed in a room on the Club Floor as, for a little extra, you get free drinks in the Club Lounge (between 1900-2100), one free shirt/blouse laundered each day, free internet, free use of the gym etc and the option of a quiet (though more basic) breakfast in the Club Lounge amongst other things. However, don't expect the rooms to be any better than the standard floors - they're not very big or well spaced which is the biggest down-side about this hotel. The hotel location is very good though as there is a main subway station underneath the hotel giving you easy access to the rest of the city. Also the Airport Limousine buses stop at the hotel which is very convenient. Would stay again at this hotel for the convenience of travel around Seoul.
