"Nice hotel with beautiful gardens and view."
Excellent time at hotel. Staff lovely. Food very good but not enough choice on evening menu. And a sur charge of £9 for steak and £2 for a small portion of chips is very very expensive. Booked to go again already but hope they read this and give more choice for then. It's the only thing that let's a very very good hotel down in my opinion .

"Superb location, superb staff"
Stayed for a long weekend in June. Experience was very good overall, from the friendly check-in to the bonus of a free room upgrade to one of the premium rooms. This had wonderful views over the sea, across the gardens and down to the beach and harbour. All floors were serviced by a lift. Other than the scenery, it's a bit of a walk to get to see anything else - no issue if you're younger, but something to bear in mind Rooms were well furnished, with the most comfortable beds and quilts you could wish for, beautiful curtains and comfy chairs in the bay windows. Bathroom in the premium room had a massive drenching shower, the other bathroom we had was more functional but served its purpose. We didn't make use of the spa facilities in the hotel, so can't comment...other than they did seem to be popular with others. The only gripe we had was that some of the corridors, doors and paintwork were a bit tired - nothing serious, but certainly noticeable when compared to the bedrooms, bar and restaurant Breakfast was served in a sea-view restaurant on the ground floor, good range of food of excellent quality, served buffet-style. There was a traditional feel to this that we loved, linen napkins, attentive staff - great What stood out most to us was the friendliness and quality of service from the staff. From handling questions over the phone, to check-in, the staff in the bar and restaurant - they all maintained the right balance of friendliness and professionalism.

"Nice hotel in good location and free car parking"
We stayed here on 11.01.2014 : We arrived about 12 and our room was ready for us which was a surprise: an underground car park for residents is great and saves you quite a bit money: there was a wedding on in the hotel and the main dining room looked superb decked out for the wedding: the wedding party added to the buzz of the hotel which I suppose would have been very quiet if it hadn't been hosting the wedding: The bedroom was on the 4th floor and had double and single beds and was nice without being palatial: the bedroom was cold but I asked for a portable heater at reception and it was delivered quickly: We went to have a look at the swimming pool and I'm afraid its in need of development and has no privacy as the glass wall from the lounge looks directly into it: nobody used it during our stay: There's no Jacuzzi or Sauna, just the pool: The evening meal was very nice and waitress very pleasant: Breakfast was nice but sausages tasted like hot-dogs so we left them: I've had better breakfasts but it was adequate: Overall the hotel is nice and cosy and in a good location with free parking and we would go again without hesitation although breakfasts at the Premier Inn (opposite) are better: but the hotel itself is far better than hotels from national companies (Travelodge etc..) Thank you for a nice weekend
