"We booked the Amora Hotel just a few days before our stay. The room was spacious and clean for our family of four we only wish we had an ocean view but unfortunately all those rooms were booked due to our late booking. The pool is heated. The staff was great. Breakfast was included and was one of the best we've had in Brazil. The ocean water in front of the hotel is more for surfing than for swimming. "My family and I loved our stay here! The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and we throughly enjoyed the large breakfast every morning! The room was very clean, and the location was nice and relaxing. It was a short drive from the beach, but it was nice to be away from the busyness of the town. I would highly recommend this hotel! "

"My husband, our dog, and I spent Christmas weekend at Hotel Pousada Ilhasol. The room was comfortable and had a small private patio, which was perfect to dry our bathing suits and towels and even better for the dog to be outside off leash. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic and grounds were perfectly maintained with bird guides, a nice in-ground pool and bar. We were even able to bring the dog by the pool while we dipped our feet in. The staff was welcoming too!"

"The hotel was located within a five minute walk from Maresias Beach. The area was quiet during the off season but nice. The staff weren't rude but also not very helpful. Our bathroom light was very finicky, it would only work when it wanted to, which was twice. They came to replace the bulb but it still wasn't working properly afterwards. Overall though, the hotel grounds are quite nice. The rooms could definitely use a better layout and the floors needed cleaning. It was definitely not a bad...

"The property was extremely tired and run down and did not reflect how it was advertised on the Expedia website. We paid extra for a spa bath which when we turned it on, filled the room with the smell of sewage- we obviously therefore did not use it! Our room smelled damp and there was evidence of mould on the ceiling in our room and in communual areas. The furniture was battered and broken and the shower rusty."
