“Will be going back, for sure”

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Location was great, right on the beach, close to the Pier and local shops. We had an ocean front room, was worth the price. Looking forward to going back. Only drawback was, the microwave was too small(didn't pop popcorn to good) we really enjoyed our stay, ending up staying an extra night

“Can't Recommend”

Very overpriced. Entire hotel needs to be updated. Jacuzzi not warm enough. Other hotels in the area much nicer. Bed uncomfortable. Sorry but that is how we felt. Very disappointed.

“Great location Great service”

Right on the beach. Staff were wonderful & the complimentary Continental breakfast was fantastic!...fresh waffles & all. There was no AC, only ceiling fan but sometimes I think that is better.

“Over night stay butr very impressed”

Driving up the coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco, had pre-booked at Pismo Beach at the Sandcastle Inn, with an upgrade to a room with a view to the pier. We found the room with balcony to be great, very comfortable for the 3 of us. The staff were uniformly welcoming and helpful. The Inn is right on the beach with easy access to the local restaurants and pier.

“Good location, but not worth the price!”

We rented the Ocean View room with king bed. The room was clean enough, but the cost was disproportionate to the amazing lack of amenities (only basic free breakfast bar). This is a bare bones hotel, no restaurant, no pool, no spa, etc., etc.,

“Nice location, bad room, poor customer service”

Seemed like a nice hotel, good beachfront location, clean. However, the room was hot and humid despite the relatively cool weather outside. Room had no A/C and the ceiling fan did not work. I called the front desk who responded, "I can come by to look, but I really don't know anything about it..." I called again later to see if there was someone else to talk to, the person at the desk then told me to look in the closet for a desk fan. I found it odd that they would have such a thing in what seemed to be a pretty good hotel but there it was.. The oscillating gear on the fan was broken but the fan worked. We put it on the desk and left it on all night with an open window. Tried to talk to the manager but was not available. I would have expected a lot better from a hotel that cost as much as this one...

“Little time to run away”

My trip was a spur of the moment. I rented a convertible and a beachfront hotel. When I arrived to the hotel, it was awesome! Restaurants were all in walking distances and you knew which ones were popular.... long lines. I opt'd for a small Japanese bar with and excellent Bartender. Though it was only 3 months young, the food was excellent. I highly recommend the oceanview.

“Great location”

Great location right on the beach in Pismo. The pier is just steps away as are the Pismo sand dunes. Right on the boardwalk. Walking distance to a number of restaurants and stores. Parking included, a plus. Room was clean. Included continental breakfast includes a waffle bar, a nice treat. Staff was helpful. Minor complaint: the wind at the beach causes the ropes on the flagpole to slap loudly and constantly, a real irritation. A nice stop between SF and LA.
