“Wonderful rest”

We booked the holiday last minute in february because we needed a real break from work. It was wonderfully relaxing. The hotel is beautiful and the views spectacular. We were in one of the cottage rooms away from the hotel and I would definitely request one of these again as they were so peaceful. We had a fire pit and did the full smores experience! All the staff were great (except for a few mistakes by housekeeping, but these were minor). Manny (Manuel) was the best and really went the extra mile - on the night we moved rooms, Manny showed us several different rooms to check we were happy. He noticed I had a bad cold so when we moved into our new room he'd ordered us complimentary tea and a smores kit to make me feel better. The food is lovely, but pricey! Breakfasts are to die for, but there are other really nice options in town for a fraction of the price. The Conservatory does have some nights that are really good value (burger and a beer on thursdays for instance). You have to go to sam's chowder house!

“Most Impressed!”

From the warm welcome of the "door men" to the wait staff in the restaurants and bars; we had the best of service! It is a destination! No reason to leave the property. It has it all! The surrounding towns do not have much to offer, so I advise to stay at the hotel and rest and relax, play golf, and enjoy their ammenities!

“CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN! Fantastic!”

The hotel was FABULOUS!!! My favorite "touch" was the turn-down service at the hotel. Upon arrival from dinner, we would find the normal "turn down" service, in addition, the TV was on with an inviting video of a blazing fireplace. With the 'chilly' northern California weather, this was just one more nice feature of the hotel. One night the restaurant staff found out we were celebrating our anniversary and we were presented a complimentary dessert of handmade chocolates!!! Delicious! The spa is absolutely wonderful - the staff was the BEST I have ever encountered! The hotel driver took us into town twice so we could shop and have lunches. He even gave us a mini-tour of the town (complete with the town's history) along the way. Even though this is a very large hotel, I felt that we might have been the only people on the property by the way the staff treated us! The hotel shops are GREAT and their staff was friendly too. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

“First class”

Class you would expect from the Ritz. Only wish they had a driving range at the courses.

“Exactly What you are Looking For”

I was looking for a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate for a few days in beautiful and luxurious surroundings and this hit the spot. The staff was wonderfully accomodating and upgraded us to a full ocean view room. The location is breathtaking. To my pleasant surprise I had booked a Ritz Club Room at the hotel which included access to the amazing Club Room with its helpful and pleasant staff and lots of fabulous snacks and drinks. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to a beautiful park where we did an 8 mile hike through the redwoods with stunning views of the Pacific. The deep, separate bath tub in the room was just what I needed for a good soak after long hikes. The spa was fabulous. I can't say enough good things about our stay.

“Great Service will stay there again”

No Spa - massage appointments avaliable when needed totally booked. Expedia or Ritz Carlton needs to recommend to customers to book Spa appointments when booking room to get total experience on dates needed. When traveling on a schedule you should'nt have to stress on changing plans to get a massage and relax.
