“Totally satisfied 4 nights' stay!!”

Chic location, quiet yet convenient. Great comfort in room and bed. Very good daily room cleaning service. Fine dining. Couteous and Cordial staff. Ernest effort to renew and maintain the premise. Fun, younger, mature, tech or professional crowds in the lounge every night. No problem recommending it or returning to it when a hotel in that area is required. Within 10-20 driving minutes to Palo Alto, Belmont, Menlo Park, Stanford etc... Worth paying a bit more to be pampered.

“Perfect Hotel in a Perfect Location!”

I had no qualms about Hotel Sofitel. They provided everything - bottled water, Keurig coffee, L'Occitane bath products, free wi-fi, even cotton swabs, cotton balls and a nail filer. They really did think of everything except toothpaste and mouthwash. The room was spacious, although I did have double beds and the beds were comfortable and clean. They noted that the duvet is changed for every hotel guest. I also thought the location was great - a very suburban, quiet neighbourhood with easy access to local eateries. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay at Hotel Sofitel again if I am ever in the area. They also cater to individuals fluent in French - I am guessing they are a French hotel. Tres bien!!

“Sofitel visitor”

DSK was nowhere in sight and I enjoyed this stay in this superior business-airport hotel. Breakfast was particularly good.

“Sofitel was a very Pleasant Experience”

This Hotel was nicer than we expected. It's not too big nor too small and served our needs perfectly for that wk-end. We would definitely consider returning.

Area recommendations

Woodside area, specifically, Alice's Restaurant. It's a 40 min. ride, but well worth it.

“Sofitel, so close to being great”

So, it's in Redwood City pretty close to Silicon Valley, the heart of all things high-tech. It's also a business hotel. THERE WAS A WIFI OUTAGE FOR ALMOST 24 HOURS.

“Good but nothing walkable”

Very nice hotel, good for access to 101 and El Camino Real but nothing is walkable apart from a nice lagoon walk. You can get to local buses and the CALTRAN but this takes half an hour and is not a pretty walk, although completely safe.

“Convenient to airport”

Everything about this hotel is okay except the lack of free wireless in the rooms. For the price, I don't want to go to the lobby to use the internet.
