The check-in staff were flat out and we arrived early as had transferred from another local hotel however they managed to have our room ready within a few hours and called to notify.
The rooms are very basic, no double beds in ours or other rooms we saw, single lounges with fold out single mattress under each one.
The table folds down from the side of the wall.
The heating doesn't really work however if you ask the reception nicely they'll give you extra blankets. While cranking the heat right up doesn't achieve any warming effect, it does dry the air out terribly making you feel rotten.
The week we were there it seems the cleaners only work on Saturdays, there was junk all through the floors of the lifts which was there all week until Friday afternoon.
There is no ski-in ski-out, you have to walk out the back of the hotel with your gear on icy concrete/snow/ice and up the street. if you have hire ski's i suppose you can cruise down the street on them but don't do ti in your own as there is grit down under the small amounts of snow and you'll tear up your boards/ski's.

"Small, tired rooms, lots of kids (everywhere!), good location!"
The hotel is not the pretiest building, the public areas are nice and have been invested in. The rooms however are small and tired. The room had 3 beds (even though we only wanted a twin) and no floorspace!.
The restuarant was ok, buffet style, but nothing special. The main feature of each mealtime was the number of children roaming unsupervised around the restaurant. The bar staff ranged from very nice to particularly stroppy. Stopped going there in the end!
The hotel does have ski equipement for hire (although this looked old). We used another shop. The ski room is well equiped.
Les menuires is a great ski location, not that nice to look at, but great options for skiing across the 3 valleys. The holiday was fine, although I certainly would not want to pay full price for this accomodation.
If you can put up with the small rooms and the children, then it is worth considering.

I am not sure what else you could ask for in a hotel for a Ski break. My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and thought it was brilliant. We stayed room only, and felt the room was really comfy and good value, the hotel felt of a high standard throughout and the ski access was second to none - walk out the locker room straight onto the piste.
We didn't eat at the hotel, but enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a beer after skiing, or sitting in the lounge in front of the fire.
Excellent service from the staff, and a wonderful location.

Lovely position on the slopes nice quiet resort.
The complex includes a gorgeous pool and spa which was much appreciated.
In common with most French ski resorts the apartments are better suited to the lower occupancy rates but are very well equipped with attractive alpine decorative touches.
We were able to upgrade tp the larger espace apartment on arrival for a modest fee.
However the 1 bedroom with bunks and 2 bedroom apartments were also more than adequate for 4. The 5/6 beds are a sofa and trundle in the sitting room best suited to accomodating extra children if needed. Personally I think the apartments would benefit from losing these and gaining a comfy sofa or two.
Very helpful staff at reception, good ski lockers with level acces from the slopes. Great attention to safety with rubber mats or grit on ice. Excellent Sherpa store for all your supplies at a reasonable price. When you can't be bothered to cook La Ferme (probably the best restaurant in the area) is a few paces away. We paid for garage parking as temperatures were -29 at night but there is open parking nearby.
