“Nice place”
Friendly hotel. Quiet, respectable area, fresh air. It is easy to reach the center of Rome. Very good breakfast. It is difficult to find a place for a dinner in step-by-step availability from hotel. You can dine in the hotel. Not bad. Approximately 27 per person: appetizer, main dish, dessert and a glass of wine. The free Internet - unsatisfactory. The TV - for an additional payment. A taxi from the airport Leonard da Vinci to the hotel at a cost of 40 euros. And in the back direction booked at Reception - 55 euros. The main advantage, in my opinion, that after a noisy and crowded city center the area is quiet, calm and green. Despite of some small inconveniences in the next trip to Rome we shall stay in this hotel.
“Nice room, great breakfast, good service”
Hotel room was large and comfortable for a European room. Breakfast was delicious and included with our stay. They offer a free shuttle service that takes you to the nearest metro. However, they have a set schedule so when it's full they won't take anyone else or make additional trips. We didn't realize that the hotel is somewhat outside of the city center. That was the only drawback to this hotel. The restaurant had a pretty good dinner and happy hour specials (not the best, but definitely not the worst we encountered while in Europe). Everyone was helpful and spoke "good enough" English. If we were in Rome we'd stay here again.
“Second Visit”
This was our second visit to this hotel and we are glad that we went back. The staff is polite and professional and the hotel is clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was very good and reasonably priced. The neighborhood is worth exploring, we found a great little place to eat around the block, La Piazzetta del Gusto. Great prices and delicious food. The shuttle fills up quickly so it is worth learning the local bus routes, quite easy. The hotel is about a 15 minute metro ride outside of the city center but we liked that. Rome is beautiful and quite fun but we like our down time to be quiet. Great place, would and will go back again.
“Good for Ciampino”
A good modern hotel that suited our requirements for being close to Ciampino for a morning flight. Room clean and functional, Breakfast Good with hot and cold. We used the free shuttle to the metro into Rome. Minor issue of a damaged shower head and a receptionist who gave the impression she would prefer not to be there. Overall we would stay there again.
“Great value hotel”
Although located out of town it was very easy to get to the main sites by public transport [ takes about 35 minutes ]. Hotel operated a regular bus shuttle service to the nearest Metro Colli Albani [ you can also take the 663 from outside the hotel, or 664 from the main road to and from this metro station ]. Breakfast was very good. Hotel was exceptionally clean and staff very helpful. There's a happy hour between 5 & 7 pm when drinks are half price. Eating out in Rome is very expensive and generally of poor value. There's an excellent Chinese restaurant right near the hotel [ turn left out of the hotel, at the T junction turn right, walk down to the main road and turn left, walk about 300 metres ].
“Great 4 stars hotel--convenient location to both airports if you're renting a car!”
This hotel had underground parking as well as outside parking lots. The reception people were nice and polite. The room was big and the bed was comfortable (coming from us who sleep in a thempurpedic at home). It was quite, and the AC worked as it was supposed to. The restaurant next to the reception is a great option for dinning out, given they don't charge service fee or a cover charge (expect this almost everywhere in rome). the quality of the food is also better than the quality in most restaurants you will encounter in rome.
“Great hotel”
Hotel was of a very high quality but it lacked helpful tourist information i.e. no details in rooms or at reception of facilities available, recommended tours or sights etc. However, we were informed that this is currently been addressed. Staff were helpful but at times some of our questions could not be answered. The hotel pool was clean and well maintained but we were disappointed that it closed at 7pm, as after a tiring day sightseeing it would have been nice to relax beside the pool. Towels for the pool also carried a charge which we were not aware of before leaving home and this added quite a bit of extra expense to the holiday. The breakfast was wonderful; the choice, variety and quantity of food was excellent. It provided a really substancial start to the day. The location of the hotel was not too bad in relation to Rome centre. The hotel's courtesy bus was an added bonus but unfortunately, didn't go right into the city and a further bus or metro was necessary to get into Rome, which was a real hassle in the beginning. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
“Great service in Rome”
The hotel is tucked away in a residential neighbourhood about 20 minutes from Rome. The hotel staff were very helpful and respond quickly to queries / issues, not that we had many whilst we were there. The shuttle service was also a great touch, but they stopped part of the service whilst we were there. If there is to be any drawback, it is the small size of the swimming pool, but to be honest, most hotels close to Rome do not have any. Very good hotel, reasonably priced and hence very popular. The breakfast also comes in handy and extremely popular. Will definitely go back.
“Quite lolcation and a good retreat from the Hustle and bustle”
The quality of the motel was extremely fine for the price. The staff was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. the Motel was a little hard to find on the first night but after you get the lay of the area it is easy to access, and has onsite parking. Good access to the public transportation, and a retreat from the overcrowding of down town. The best all around motel that I stayed in during my visit to Italy.
“excellent hotel”
the hotel capannelle & employees are outstanding, i highly recommend this facility. the desk staff speak english & make every effort to assist with all arrangements for visiting rome & other areas of italy. the desk employees are competent & more helpful than the travel agency personnel in rome. fabio & a second young man, who spoke english working at the reception desk & who's name i did not get are italian ambassadors as they were gentlemen & professional. my wife & i could not have been treated any better. i highly recommend hotel capannelle for individuals planning on visiting rome.
