"I felt bad for the workers because the lobby area was out of AC for like a month and there was a heat advisory in effect. Our first room was above the lobby, so the air in the room wasn’t cutting it, only getting to about 79 degrees. The rooms were large, and even though it was very clean in the restroom, the rest felt pretty dingy, like it hasn’t had a remodel in a while. It smelled of pee near the couches, some of the outlets didn’t work, the mini fridges were barely cold and frosted inside.
The workers were very accommodating and brought us a box fan at first. Then once they realized it wasn’t helping enough, they transferred us to a cooler room on the other side of the building. There views of the city are spectacular! Breakfast was included and pretty good. Bar specials on alcohol and morning lattes were great. I’m obsessed with the little convenience store at the bottom of the building. Connection to the skyway is so cool. Parking has many options and price ranges. I feel like I read there was a pool but I never saw it. Also, what’s with hotels having one dinky little microwave in the lobby and none in the rooms. We had a great stay, but it just needs an update. Excellent staff, especially James!!!"
