“Always fun to visit the minnie apple”

Visiting relatives...always nice to get away from them all at the end of the day ;-). Enjoyed the twin cities and liked this hotel.

“Spacious and clean”

I shared my room with 3 other adults. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We all felt that this was the nicest room and over hotel we had ever stayed at and we have had 4-star rooms before.

“impressed”

the hotel is very nice, very formal and suggests a much more expensive hotel. I liked that the parking was only $8.00 a day which made it much more competitive with the other hotels in the area. Some are $20.00 a day. I like that the Best Western has King beds or queens. I can't believe that other nice hotels deal with double beds. Who wants that? my only criticism is that it had HD televisions but not HD reception. In otherwords, they could have had HD but chose not to (maybe did not want added expense). Plus, the cable was not real good in terms of clarity.

Area recommendations

i like the downtown and that is where all of the restaurants are located. There is beautiful architecture, awesome churches. It is friendly and trendy at the same time.

“Rude Staff”

Although we were satisfied with the hotel itself the staff was not so great. They were not very welcoming when we first arrived and proceeded to make some very rude comments to us during our stay.

“great service”

Location was a little walk to the convention center but fast shuttle service was provided and the walk felt good after sitting all day. When I needed a map, they provided directions. Needed a restaurant, area options provided. Walking street just a few blocks away. A little frustrated that I didn't have internet connected in my room. They were working on that and offered to move me to a room that did but it was late and I didn't pursue that. Bed was comfy, room was quiet, slept well, felt taken care of with all my questions. Would recommend to others.

“Pleasant Surprise”

I made this reservation based on price and rating, not realizing it was the same hotel I'd stayed at 20+ years ago. Back then, I ended up leaving because I was so freaked out by how awful it was. This stay couldn't have been better. The room was awesome, staff were very accommodating, and the restaurant food -- for the few things I had -- was very good. I will be back. The hotel of 20 years ago is long gone. Exterior and lobby areas still look a little old school/men's club, but everything is new, clean...Couldn't believe I was in a Best Western.
