“OK for a 1 night stay”
Since it is pet friendly, we have stayed here on several occasions. It is nothing special, but easy to get to from I-5 and is next to Cattlemen's Restaurant. Rooms are usually a bit overpriced, but competitive with the Holiday Inn up the road. All in all, OK but I wouldn't choose it for a family vacation.
“Simple, No Frills, Plenty of Room...”
A bit dated, but the location for me worked. I was on a fly fishing trip so it was within miles of the Lower Sacramento. 2nd time staying here. Clean rooms, flat screen cable TV, and lots of room. Good price, free internet, and i like the included continental breakfast, with fresh fruit, juices, coffee, waffles, bagels, cereals, and yogurt. Many reasonable restaurants and gas nearby. I always eat at Cattleman's right next door, we're talking 20yds away. And you get e a10% discount as a guest of La Quinta. And just two blocks from Interstate 5.
“Very pleasant stay”
Staff was very friendly and responsive to our requests. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast could be improved.
“Big room, loud dogs!”
When I booked, I did so in a hurry and didn't realize that this hotel is pet friendly. While that may be great for guests traveling with their dogs, it was not so great for my friend and I. We were awakened at 6:30 a.m. to barking dogs. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighboring people and their pets. On the plus side, all of the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast included with our stay was nice. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but the air conditioner and the refrigerator were noisy. We did go to the pool area located in the courtyard, which was clean and quite pretty.
“Great location and comfortable acomodations”
Very please with the hotel. The location is near several restaurants and gas stations. Right off Hwy 5, easy on and off access. Room was clean, comfortable, and the staff very diligent and courteous to make sure your stay was good. They also have some deals which we took advantage of. As a guest of La Quinta, you were able to get a nice discount right next door at the Cattleman's restaurant. It's even on you passkey. And the bonus, free internet access via wi-fi and the continental breakfast.
“Rude Desk Clerk”
The person at the desk, when we checked in, was very curt and seemed to lack "people skills". When we went back to the desk to make a request, her greeting was, "What do you want now?" We felt that to be a very inappropriate way to address a guest. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Perhaps a constructive suggestion would be better public relations training for their employees, especially those on the front desk.

“Stayed twice: first & last”
Hotel personnel need course in manners; especially front desk. We were greeted by a woman who treated us like an interruption not a customer. The breakfast lady we renamed the "syrup police," for obvious reasons. The decor is 80's teal with candy wrappers under the bed skirt from previous guest. The room had a balcony that overlooked the courtyard/pool area. At 1:00am a helicopter circled with search light for about 25 minutes, as well as several police with dogs searching adjacent lot/parking area. Just a little disturbing, and no explanation the following morning when we inquired. The "free" breakfast is not enough to entice us back.
