“days inn nothing to write home about”

The Days Inn was clean as I expected or I would never have stayed. Service was avalible but employees seemed to have what are you bothering me for attitude. Wifi has horrible signal and if you managed to connect speed was below dialup. Lack of sugar free or reduced sugar on the breakfast bar and please invest in some coffee worth drinking. They do charge you an upfront fee ($50) for incidentals not paid included in room price and say they will refund it if all ok when you check out. Do not use your check card it takes forever to get the money back into your checking account. The hotel denies they are the slow ones during the refund process. It is a smoke free hotel which is ok. But someone put the ashtrays next to the benches within 10 feet of main entrance. This didn't bother me to much as I'm a smoker. But non smoking guest might find it offensive having to walk through smoke to enter/exit the hotel.

“Going back next Month”

Went to this hotel because of the evactuation in NY due to Hurricane Irene... was thinking it would be a dump but boy was I wrong... great place to stay... great service... we had every store we can think of basically across the street... red lobster, best buy, sears, walmart.. name the store and its there.. going back next month... can't wait

I can't beat the price or convenience - but I think it is time for some work in the property other than slapping on new paint! The last visit I had to take a cold shower (at 5:45 am). That said - they have made upgrades to the wifi and the staff at the front desk are very helpful and friendly!

Musty odor as soon as you walk into hotel...you would expect that from a cheap motel...Carpeting in hallway had lots of stains...Bathroom floor in room was very sticky....I was there because my daughter's favorite rock band was playing nearby so we drove to PA to see them...I contemplated checking out early and driving back home but that would have been a two hour drive back to New Jersey at midnight so I stuck it out and left as soon as the girls woke up.

I only stayed one night and I was very happy.

“You Don't Even Get What You Pay For”

First room I was put in was next to the vending so there was the din of vending and sound of tumbling ice cubes. They then moved me to a small awkward room so I said, forget it, I deal with the noise. Then the next day when I returned to my room , the carpet around the AC unit was soaking wet and the room smelled like mildew. So they moved me again to another room where I stayed the remainder of my trip. The breakfast area served decent food and such so that was a nice touch and the staff tried to get things right but in my opinion they should have known more about the rooms they were putting me in. All TV's are old 80's looking tube TVs and the rooms are pretty dated. Then again, it is a bargain hotel. I just expected more from brand name.

“Nice but DIRTY CARPET!”

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. We intended to go to both Hershey and Sesame Place so were looking for a hotel in between....this worked out nicely. The hotel staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast had long hours and was typical (cold items only). It was nice that coffee, milk and two types of juice were available all the time through bulk machines. So, we could fill up our children's cups on the way out or the way in. We had a refrig in our room so that was convenient. Overall the room was clear and comfortable except for the carpet. We have a 1 year old and 3 year old and both of their feet were BLACK after a short time in the room. This is the same experience we had a few weeks prior at another Days Inn, so it must be the lax policy at this chain. However, we managed to remedy this problem after my daughter threw up on the floor twice. We let the hotel staff know and the floor was cleaned the same day while we were out. It was much cleaner and some of the musty smell was gone, but did not leave overly wet carpet (which was nice since I had two children on the floor). In the small space of a hotel room it is hard to keep little ones off the floor!

“Comfy as home!”

This hotel is always clean and comfy! The staff is great, too!
