"Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile by the receptionist who supported us with sorting a parking permit, helped us with our luggage and ensured we were happy. The room was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed and that was specified on our booking. It also comes with the most beautiful view of the scarborough coastline and the castle at the top of the hill. "The Europa was easy to find and we parked right outside it, we were given a warm welcome and all the required information about keys / breakfast etc, our room was lovely and spacious, it was scrupulously clean as was the bathroom and had everything you could want. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep, plenty of hot water in the shower and the breakfast was delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and if back in Whitby I will certainly like to return."

"Stayed for two nights three of us two rooms. We found everything very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and explained everything that we needed to know. The breakfast was superb and cannot fault it. Lots of little extra touches like cake in our rooms. Everything was well stocked with fresh milk and water daily. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone and only 6 miles or so to Whitby. "
