Absolutely fantastic

Absolutely fantastic the owner was very polite helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and the toiletries were outstanding couldn't have needed anything more. We stayed Easter Sunday the room had a Easter egg in from the owner to our son, thought this was really thoughtful.

Gary is a fantastic host and his breakfast keep you going until the evening meal. Always around when you need help or advice, a mine of information. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would love to stay again!

We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and it certainly lived up to expectations. The host, Gary, was very friendly and helpful, giving information about where to go and directions, etc. It was my birthday while we were there and he gave me a lovely card, an unexpected surprise. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It had everything we needed and plenty of electric points, something often lacking. Breakfast was amazing, cooked to order, delicious, fresh and hot, served on heated plates. After the first morning we had to ask for smaller portions as it was far too much for us! It is next to the beautiful Peasholm Park and you can walk into the town area in 10 minutes. If, like me, you’re not as fit and healthy as you’d wish, there is an open-topped bus that runs every few minutes from the park to the Scarborough Spa and back, for a reasonable price. Thank you for a lovely stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Easter weekend away

Gary could not do enough to make you feel welcome all served up with a hot freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. All in all a lovely little B&B. Would definitely stay here again.

Gary is a great host and couldn’t have been more helpful and the Dolphin is of great value and situated at the North Bay …..perfect. Great for visiting Thornton Le Dale (bangers and cash) Pickering and Goathland (Heartbeat)

Great little guest house. People just keep coming back here and it isn’t hard to see why. All safety measures in place, very clean, great host and superb breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble.

Great comfortable stay

Gary super friendly and helpful, just like other reviews have said. We stayed in the family room with a separate room with bunk beds. At first we weren't too sure how it would work out as the bathroom just had a toilet and shower - the sink is in the main bedroom, but it actually didn't inconvenience us at all. We found it really quiet and comfortable and would definitely return.
