Quaint little hotel

Posted 22-Jan-2015
The front staff was nice, room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel, included breakfast was good and I found it quiet considering it's right in the middle of town. That's the only problem...the town. It's dirty but the price of the room was great and it's only 2 blocks from the bus station

Great little hotel. Near the bus station.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and the pool is great for a quick dip (although not massive). It was great having breakfast included, although there wasn't much choice. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very welcome!

Very sub standard almost like a hostel

Posted 07-Jan-2015
Very basic room with old bed sheets old mattress for this much money in an area which is at least 20 dollar cab rid to the park is a very deal. You are better off staying near the park for a bit more & saving on cab fair. Quepos town is back waters of Costa Rica with dust roads & not much going on.

Great budget hotel

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: Location near Quepos bus station, nice staff, great price
Cons: There is a bright blue light on the front of the AC units that can make it hard to get to sleep. Can this be covered? A piece of tape would do it.
Location: Manuel Antonio National Park, lots of beaches, sport fishing, kayaking, ziplining, rappelling
I have stayed at La Sirena a few times now, and I'm always happy with the choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is always satisfactory. The staff is always polite and helpful (on a side note, I speak Spanish, so the language is not a barrier for me, but I'm not sure if the staff is English-speaking). The pool is always refreshing after a sweaty day in the jungle, and the murals all around the hotel provide beautiful character. I always feel like La Sirena is a great value for the price.

It was ok. Could be really nice if they fixed it up just a little. Hotel staff was ok. Not bad. Not great. Room was comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast included, was pretty good.

staff is great, esp young Jorge at the desk; the pool was right outside our room so that even though it's small it was very welcome to cool off, since you can't swim at the local beach; about 8 km from Manuel Antonio; toast and eggs for breakfast plus unlimited coffee and fresh fruit
