"A beautiful traditional hotel . Our room -37was immaculately clean . The bed was very comfortable and bathroom newly done out by the looks of it . Food in the restaurant was really good , tasty and home made . Can definitely recommend the steak and ale pie . Breakfast was delicious. Staff and amenities all excellent. "

"My friend and I stayed for a night, and we honestly think that this was a hidden gem. The beds were SO comfortable and the room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was honestly one of the best I've seen in the UK—the water pressure and temperature were perfect. There was a small kitchen in our room, and the room was right against the road but the area is really quiet. Check in was quick and there were a lot of parking options available. The restaurant was very fairly priced as well. We'd definitely recommend and definitely return."

"We were not in a room at the pub but just across the way. Room nice with everything you need, toiletries, coffee machine, kettle etc. Small double bed. "

"Had a night stay on motorcycles. Twin lodge room was setback from the road & we could park the bikes outside the room. The room was everything we needed after a 6hr journey. The staff were nice & it was a short walk into town. We didn’t eat in the hotel because we wanted to stretch our legs. Would stay again. "
