“Good”

It was a decent hotel. Almost like any other Doubletree. There were a couple of spots that bugged me, but I am a clean freak. Overall it was good for our one night visit.

“Close to public transportation”

I love the fact that the TRImet light rail from the airport stops across the street from the hotel. You can explore Portland by walking and taking public transportation.

“Have stayed twice and will again”

The service is great, the bed and pillows are the most comfortable of any hotel I've ever stayed at. I love the special touches: warm cookies @ check-in, and the "sweet dreams" pillow.

“Very convenient location”

We parked the car in the adjacent parking garage then set out using the MAX light rail (free up to the stop closest to the hotel and throughout downtown). Large shopping centre located within a block. Quite a busy hotel with conferences but lots of nice touches such as warm cookies from the front desk. We had left out the sign for room service breakfast but it was inadvertently missed - we called and they had our order ready and there very quickly. Mistakes happen and they reacted very well.

Area recommendations

If you have kids, take the MAX rail to Washington Park (outside of the free zone unfortunately) and take the elevator which brings you right to the parking lot of the Children's museum (great), the Oregon zoo (excellent) as well as a forestry museum (didn't have time for that).

“Decent Place to Stay”

The Hilton is located right near public transportation and was clean with decent amenities. I did feel like the sound proofing between rooms could have been better, especially since I had to listed to someone practice their musical instrument one night.

“Nice place but pricey”

Hotel parking fees really add up & the added costs for breakfast make the stay much more expensive than one might first think. Nice place, convenient to MAX to downtown, nearby shopping.

“Consistently good service and clean”

The Doubletree is always clean and the staff always helpful. The room had plenty of room for everything I needed. The slope of the shower floor was such that the water pooled a lilttle in the center of the shower (room 937), but this was not an issue with my other stays at this hotel.

Area recommendations

Downtown Portland is just a few minutes on the light rail system, and hotel to downtown is in the free-zone.

“Very pleased with this hotel. Plan to go back next year.”

Comfortable room. The beds were very comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. Good location. Would have like to have a fridge and microwave in the room.

“Good place to explore Portland, OR”

The staff was very welcoming and helpful, our room was spacious and clean but if you're a light sleeper request the side away from the MAX (light rail system) that operates early in the morning. Very nice lobby. Free internet at the business center, charge in room for internet and charge for parking.

Area recommendations

Pearl District or Downtown allows you to walk almost anywhere and hop on free light rail and streetcars within 'free fare area'. You do not need a car to see the city of Portland.

“Will stay again!”

The hotel is conveniently located to public transportation so we had a great time taking the MAX train to downtown Portland without spending money on a car or cabs. The service desk was super helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean and we plan on staying again for our next visit.
