Beautiful hotel rooms with silent beautiful room views, we stayed in the superior rooms with breakfast included well worth the value , food was very very good and staff go out of there way to help you , ideal for a golf break with two very high end course but also for the golf widow who does not play plenty of pool time and relaxing time in boutique rooms , would go back again
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, the hotel is very nice. There are lots of things to do like playing golf, swimming, sun bathing, tennis, football, table tennis etc. There are three restaurants but all are not open every day, good quality and enormous quantity of food is served. Staff very helpful.
Check-in was fast and easy. Staff charming. The location is wonderful. Our first room had the hardest and smallest bed we have ever tried to sleep in. A really rough night. We complained and were moved to another hotel in the same group and everything from thereon in was wonderful. So, avoid the Villa Termal, and specify the Don Carlos annexe.

Excellent hotel about 15 minute walk from the town and a further 10 to the beach or harbour. Harbour has all restaurants. Amazing room just could not fault the hotel if you tried. The staff were very friendly and attended to all your needs. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Even had champagne with breakfast!

Couldn't believe our luck at getting this hotel in a package deal, expected much worse.
Clean room, very freindly staff; they even had a packed dinner for us on arrival, as we were too late for the meal. Hotel and the room spotless, both cleaned daily.
Great pool, cleaned every morning, not too busy, no need to reserve a lounger. Pool bar with drinks all day and evening.
All the food and drink we could want, but this are Portugese chefs trying to make UK food, so it's not great, only exceptable. We ate out most lunchtimes.
A fair distance to beach, but many walked it, we took a cab, they are not that expensive.
Hotel, Staff, Pool, quiet location.
Food, distance to beach.
Overall, very happy with hotel and would recommend it.
before I start I will make you aware that I am an ex hotel manager, and I have helped opened 2 4* hotels in the UK and another hotel in Greece. this does pose a problem for me as I constantly look at the finer detail whenever I stay away.
However over all the hotel was great and we had a fantastic holiday, we arrived late in the evening and went straight to our room, I had only booked and paid for a studio but the room we got was huge and very comfortable. the hotel was well presented and had some good facilities but needed a little husbandry. meaning that in places it needed a little lick of paint mostly in the corridor areas as there were a lot of scuff marks from the trollies. the pool areas were well kept and good but in the toilets some of the fixtures and fittings were rusty. the gym was adequate for a bit of CV training but was very basic and I felt the games/recreation room was heavily under utilised. that said you wouldn't go there to play games etc but it could be better for the kids. the area was great and there are lots of restaurants and bars to explore. the boat trips were great and reasonably prised but may cost more in the summer months.
the area is generally a sleepy fishing village and ideal for families or couples and there is a good bus service to get you to most places for a day out.
overall a wonderful holiday and worth a visit.
Set in quiet area no high rise hotels.
20 mins walk to Vau Beach. Car advisable although notice several patrons using taxis.
Room 202 was surprisingly large & well equipped. Beds a little hard. Room very clean as was the rest of the hotel, including the outside & pool area.
Used restaurant on our 1st night found to be very good & freshly cooked.
Everything about our holiday went really well, we both felt the breakfast had improved so much from the year before. Pool and gardens were looked after to an excellent standard. The bar at the end of the day was relaxing with entertainment every night. Superb beech very clean. The hotel is in a perfect location far enough from the town but near enough to walk to, lots of restaurants and bars and also a supermarket very near the hotel. For us this this hotel and location for everything was prefect for us (10 out 10).
