“Very satisfied will definitely stay again!”

The overall location is good (but not if you are looking for a scenic view as tucked in behind a gas station and Rite aid pharmacy) but very close to many places for shopping not far from border. The reception staff were very helpful in the evening and morning shift although at breakfast very disappointed there was no waffle mix for the waffle maker but other items for toaster (bagels, muffins, bread) very fresh. The room very clean and comfortable; washroom clean tub/shower & sinks need upgrading but hotel has been reasonably kept as it is older. The rooms have a lot of space to move about in especially great for large families. It's not up scale but if you're out all day doing activities and need a clean place to sleep & rest/watch television for the evening that is reasonably priced especially as I said for families or a group needing a place to stay after shopping all day. I will definitely be back again over the next 6 months as I'm out in Sarnia to visit my daughter monthly. I was concerned about some of the reviews I had read before booking but I find those that are too critical have issues of their own and if they wanted a five star hotel with all the bells and whistles than they should have booked one and forked out all that money instead of booking somewhere reasonable and having a lot of unreasonable complaints.

“Not Impressed”

I arrived at the Hotel around 9:30 pm and had trouble getting the air conditioning to work properly. In the bathroom, there was no kleenex and the wall mount to hold it was falling off. The drapes hung down to low over the a/c unit and blocked the cool air. The staff on the desk were excellent, both the night clerk and the morning clerk and were very friendly and helpful. A few suggestions - that they re-hem the drapes do the a/c isn't blocked and a little cleaner and fresher in the bathroom would go along way.

“dive inn”

Housekeeping was as good as they could be with the condition of this property! Tepid shower water, grimey carpet, wavy tv screen ineffecient a/c unit. Wobbly door jam, bed that we were happy that we could fall asleep on after 16 hour work days. Brkfast was meager. Pool was open but we didn't use it. THERE IS NO REASON TO STAY HERE OR FOR US TO GO BACK! AN UPGRADE COULD ONLY HAPPEN BY RAZING THE BUILDING AND STARTING FROM THE GROUND UP!

“inside is nicer then outside”

i admit outside was lacking appeal, inside where i think it counts was nice.we were very comfortable,restaurant convenience,shopping convenience also, and they take pets.

“Clean room in an older building”

The most important thing. The room was clean. I read some other comment saying the motel looks old. It was partly right. On the outside the hotel looks old and run down, but the rooms was nice and clean. The breakfast was better than at similary places i had stayed

“Clean up dust under beds, my grandson has breathing problems with dust.”

Under beds have not been cleaned for long time. My grandson had trouble in these rooms.

“Good ole home town.”

I did a lot of traveling around Port Huron and the hotel was conveniently located for this.

“Budget Hotel for people on a budget for short stays”

Good Breakfast. Filthy carpet. Good location for sightseeing. Neighbourhood a little seedy. Budget friendly. Bathroom clean. Building could use some upgrading and outside clean up and training for staff. Not bad for short stay
