“Sofitel centrally located.”

The hotel staff was excellent. The maid service could improve. The food was good, but very expensive. No dinner on Sunday night, but you can eat in the lounge.

“Bob Seger night”

We stayed here when Bob Seger and The SBB were in town (Philly) Very nice rooms. Bose radio in the room. Beds very comfy. The "Bistro" in the hotel....we sat and waited for more than 10 minutes and no wait staff came to our table ..so we left and went to Morton's for food. Surrounding area has many food joints and nice pubs. The cost per night for the valet service seemed very excessive. Overall a nice hotel.

Center City or Old Town....great restuarants and pubs....Great museums and music venues. High priced boutiques all over the place.

“long weekend”

hotel was very comfortable,clean, hotel staff was very professional. close to shopping, restaurants, very walkable neighborhoood. be prepared for parking fees normal for any large city.

“Extremely Relaxing with Friendly and Helpful Staff”

The hotel is an easy 9 mile drive from Philadelphia Airport, and within a short distance of the I-76, which allows quick access to the I-95. We arrived late Friday evening after having missed dinner because of our flight schedules. The staff at the front desk were able to get us reservations at a nearby restaurant (Davios) within half an hour of our arrival. The room was fantastic (except for the hair dryer, which didn't work), and made for a pleasant place for my wife and I to relax after her race on the Saturday afternoon.

Area recommendations

Rittenhouse Square - Sofitel is within easy walking distance of a great number of fabulous restaurants (Davios, the Dandelion Pub, Square1682, etc), and Philadelphia's arts and historic neighbourhoods.

“Wonderful Stay”

We were really pleased with our stay at Sofitel. We had booked 2 nights in a Junior Suite and it was extremely comfortable and warmly decorated. We did not have the chance to eat in any of the restaraunts inside the hotel but the surrounding area has so many amazing places to eat. I highly recommend The Dandelion Pub, which is only a block away from Sofitel and has amazing food and atmosphere. The staff at Check in/out were wonderfully polite and welcoming. I especially appreciated the gesture, of both people who checked us in and out, of coming around from behind their desk to hand us our keys or give us our receipt face to face. It was so simple but it made it so personal. It was noticed and I feel it made a big difference. I will absolutely stay at Sofitel again.
