We stayed for the night of the 6th of June before a flight back to Sydney the following day. Hotel is an easy walk from Perth Rail Station with bags. We traveled by train from the International Cruise Ship Berth. The hotel is undergoing renovation at the front, but that was not a problem for us as our room was in the rear section with no noise. Very comfortable bed and well appointed facilities with large TV. Central location with free Perth tourist bus stop almost opposite. Other stops for the free bus routes and other pay routes are just around the corner. Staff were most helpful with information and service and they will store your baggage free of charge if you arrive early or leave late. Free use of computer and printer in the business area. Taxi rank for the airport just up the street or the staff will call a cab. .Did not eat at the Hotel as there were many other eating places nearby. Would certainly stay again if we come to Perth. .
I have stayed at the Stamford before but had forgotten what a great hotel it is. Rooms are clean comfortable and well appointed. Bar downstairs great for a catch up . Central tot he city and located well for an early morning walk or run along the river.
Only downside , breakfast is expensive and nothing special, but plenty of cafes nearby .
Generally good and clean boutique hotel. More likely to be 4 stars rather than 5. The location was the main pro. Stayed for 5 days, staff was friendly and helpful but house keeping could be improved, eg had to keep calling reception to request for soy milk every day and more tea because it has not been restocked! Considering the hotel only has 14 suites and prides itself on the personalised touches this was not evident!
I stayed at this hotel while on business trip. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Free wifi is available in the room which is a good thing. It seems like the hotel only have one staff at a time at reception. I had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes to checkin as there were 4 people in front of me. On the good side the staff at reception were very friendly. If I had travelled with my wife and kid I would probably stay in hotel closer to Hays st mall.
The country's fourth largest city and booming capital of Western Australia is sprawling, but downtown Perth proper is bounded by the Swan River and the Graham Farmer Freeway and easily covered on foot. Museums, galleries, shopping malls, and pedestrian precincts characterise the CBD, while parkland wanders along the riverfront. The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.
