Had a mostly enjoyable stay. Tried to tell staff about room charges that had already been debited from my bank account and the room charges were added anyway. Tried to explain on the phone to management and didn't get a satisfactory answer. I will continue to monitor the situation. Breakfast buffet was excellent and hotel was 5 stars with facilities all top notch.
This hotel is across from the Perth Arena, which could be helpful if seeing a concert. We had caught a train to Perth and walked the 3 blocks west on Wellington st from the station. The free Yellow Cat bus does run past the hotel.
The foyer is beautiful and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Warning. there is a $100 credit card fee for incidentals and takes 7 days to be refunded.
We were upgraded. The room looked over the swimming pool and reception rooms below..
As mentioned to staff, there is ALOT of noise coming up from any event in the reception rooms below. The microphone was way too loud and the sounds drifted up.Not at all peaceful and not restful. Double glazing to all the rooms facing the pool would help curb some of the noise. Perhaps ask for a room facing the West side to eliminate noise.
The shower was huge and clean. Plenty of Hot water.
The toilet/shower area is a bit weird. A glass door separates shower and toilet from bedroom and basin. This glass door is almost see through and gap on either side of the door is large enough to see through. If using the room this can be awkward.
The fridge and kettle are found in the cupboard under the tv. Expensive movies $16.95 each.
We had a KS bed, which was ok.
Breakfast was amazing. In our deal.
Parking: both CP and Wilson have deals with the hotel which the hotel didnt want to tell us about. We found a carpark just around the corner has 24 hr spaces if we needed it.
Would recommend this hotel.
The country's fourth largest city and booming capital of Western Australia is sprawling, but downtown Perth proper is bounded by the Swan River and the Graham Farmer Freeway and easily covered on foot. Museums, galleries, shopping malls, and pedestrian precincts characterise the CBD, while parkland wanders along the riverfront. The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.
