“My stay at Mantra on Murray”

Was happy with my stay as my son was unwell and it was clean and comfortable with ease to get around. Everything was within an easy distance

“Excellent!”

Great location, fantastic room. Only problem was that my door key would stop working everytime I left the room and I had to get a new one from reception!!

“Don't bother”

At first we were put into a room that smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, but they moved us to another room when we asked. On the third day of our stay, the hotel lost all water for a night and most of the next day, which meant we had to go to a different hotel to shower and couldn't even use the toilet because we couldn't flush. I found the staff to be rude and not helpful - when I asked them to call a cab for us, we were informed "there's a taxi rank across the road". Our company uses this hotel for overnight stays and I will be letting them know that it does not meet the standards that we require when working away from home.

Area recommendations

The city is the best place to stay, but beware of one way streets and roadworks, and give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

“Will not be going back - it is NOT 4 stars”

There is no way on this planet that this hotel can be classified as a 4 star. The room was clean and the hotel staff friendly, but the room was uninspiring, dull, badly laid out and the furniture was worse than Ikea's broken cast-offs. The air-con unit was so noisy that we got practically no sleep but needed it on to avoid sweating too much. Also, the staff at the adjoining restaurant were so ignorant of us standing there waiting (for the best part of 10 mins) and still after we sat ourselves down. The only reason we waited that long is because on a Sunday night Perth city centre resembles a ghost town with nowhere open to eat.

“Very Low Quality Customer Services”

(+) The location is great, just a step to the city. ___________________________________ (-) High prices comparing with the hotel class and services level. (-) Very dirty carpet. (-) The room access card does not work properly. I had to go down stair to the reception more twice or more each time I came to my room in order to have access. (-) The reception officers blame me for the damage occurred to the card. They told me the reason is the card beside the your credit card!!!!!!, although the access machine was broken in the first day I came. (-) My room has been changed twice, one because the electronic door was charged and didn't work and second for the TV receiver broke. (-) I have waited for the electrician for more than an hour out side my room and finally they decided to change my room. I have stayed up that night till mid night waiting for my stuff and clothes in the previous room to be moved. The electrician was enjoying his weekend.!!!!!! (-) I moved my bags by myself!!!!!!!!!!!! (-) The clean service room has cleaned my room 3 times in 5 nights because the one shift working.
