“Small hotel in a typical french neighbourhood”

I stayed in a single room on the 6th floor with a view looking into the centre shaft. However, the room was warm and bright but could do with a bit of TLC. The staff were very helpful. Good location 10 mins walk from Sacre Cour and right next to Lemark Metro station. A 3 day metro pass enabled me to travel extensively on this excellent service. ( but don't forget to walk which is the best way to see Paris) . The local shops are very good. I would recommend the hotel for the traveller rather than the "holiday maker" who may be prone to complaining to the hotel management about the smallest issues

“Surprising find!”

The location couldn't be beat! The nautical/beach theme of the room/floor was a little strange and child-like, but the room was very, very clean. The bathroom was a nice touch, although the toilet smelled. The room got warm very easily, but opening the windows helped that out. Being near a cafe and a bodega was great for late-night snacking. And being right near the Metro was perfect for excursions throughout the city. Overall, a great place to stay in Paris!

“TYpically French”

If you are looking for a typically French hotel that has a lovely ambience in one of the most historic areas of Paris you should stay at Hotel Roma, Very reasonably priced, I stayed here on a recent business trip which was just a 10 minute Metro ride to my office near the Madeleine. I would recommend this hotel.

“Quaint *old* hotel in the heart of Montmartre”

This property was an absolute efficiency hotel - tiny room/bathroom, but, hey - I was in Paris!!! This was my first visit to Paris as a single female traveler. The metro is right down the stairs and the Basilique du Sacre Coeur and the historic Montmartre area is literally steps away. The most amazing patisserie was two blocks away. My very first morning, I heard the nuns singing their matins -- heavenly! The hotel is very old - the carpet definitely needs to be replaced. The elevator could barely contain me and my suitcase -- anymore than two people would be claustrophobic. I just considered it a place to rest my head after a day of sightseeing. If you want something more luxe -- this isn't the place for you.

“Great location”

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel for the location. The street outside the room was occasionally noisy but we were so tired from walking Paris that it did not worry us. The room is basic but satisfactory. The location is ideal, right above the metro and in the fabulous Montmatre area.

“Clean, tidy. good service, good value”

For a two star hotel this place offered everything it was supposed to. We had a great week there. Only two draw backs: the street noise went on rather late, but heh! we just closed the window; the air conditioner leaked water, but this was fixed the next day after we reported it. I'd definitely go back.

“Cute base for sightseeing”

The hotel is cute, quirky and right by the Metro station so convenient for getting out and about. The main sights of Montmatre are on the doorstep too. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room wasn't huge but it suited us perfectly for a long weekend.

“Exactly what I was looking for”

Clean enough and definitely comfortable, the hotel has the basic amenities necessary for a stay in Paris. It's location is excellent, right above a metro station near caffes and grocery stores and within a 10 minute walk of Sacre Coeur. There was free wireless available as well. I recommend it for the person looking for a cheap, safe and well located place to stay who is planning to spend most of their time outside of the hotel sightseeing etc.
