“A Pleasant Surprise”

We attended a wedding in the area and booked for an overnight stay. Room was much nicer than we expected and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much, we were sorry it was only for one night!

Area where this hotel is located was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from, most within walking distance.

“"Loved it there & felt very comfortable"”

The Marriott was a very nice, clean & relaxing atmosphere,I will definately return for my next stay out of town. The staff were very welcoming and friendly which is very important . There is also a wide range of community type of activities/ services ie: bbq's. Thx for the stay, will be back.

“BEST Accomodation!”

I would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers. For a most reasonable price the rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Having the kitchenette and use of the fridge made it even better. The parking was close and neighborhood quiet. By far the best hotel that I have stayed at in this area.

“Decent place at a good price!”

The hotel was clean and very efficient. Beautifully equipped. Pool area was a good size. However, no comfortable places to sit or lounge in the pool area. Just a couple of benches. So, if you want to go in and just watch your kids, it ends up being an inconvenience. Breakfast was good. The breakfast self-serve area was too crowded. Very difficult to have an organized line up because of the layout. Plus the door to the kitchen was in the worst possible place with kitchen staff replenishing the breakfast bar, accidentally running into people carrying food. Accident waiting to happen! In room icemaker was very slow and had to wait a long time for ice cubes to make. There are no ice machines on any floors. So, important to note that as soon as you check in, if you plan to have ice, switch on the ice maker in your fridge freezer, otherwise you'll be waiting.

“A nice place to stay”

This is a quality hotel, the staff are helpful the place is clean the rooms are large with nice furniture two LCD TV's and a full kitchen with fridge stove pots pans dishes cutlery. There are coffee mugs and wine glasses but no cups. The Breakfast was not quite what I expected there were eggs and bacon, cereal bread some fruit but I was expecting more. On the whole the place is great .

Area recommendations

The AMC nearby has a lot of great restaurants around it for a bite before the show.

“A great place to stay”

For the two days we stayed at the hotel we were more than satisfied. The suite was comfortable and spacious. We would not hesitate to go back again.The breakfast buffet that was offered had variety, was tasty and plentiful. Just one minor concern. The food was served on regular white restaurant dishes; why could there not have been normal cutlery instead of the cheap plastic knives and forks?

“Great Whitby Hotel”

Excellent hotel, reasonably priced with clean rooms and functional facilities. I would recommend this for anyone planning to stay in the Whitby Oshawa area.
