“Average hotel”

Staff were not particularly helpful which surprised me as the US hospitality industry relies on good service. I am a Marriotts member from the Asia pacific region and that did NOT give me any benefits or better service. Room was comfortable but small. I won't stay there again. Too many other great hotel alternatives at Waikiki .

“One of Hawaiis Best”

This hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is also one of the best as far as location for Waikiki with several shops and restuarants within a nice strolls distance. The restaurants on site are very good as well. I really enjoy this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Every type of food from Sushi to McDonalds is at your fingertips. This hotel is right in the middle of Oahus best.

Plenty of clubs and bars in the area. Most offering one sort or another of entertainment, and people watching.
Outdoors or beach
This hotel is right across the street form the world famous Waikiki Beach. Great place for family as well as singles. Lots of gorgeous people.

“Nice way to explore Waikiki for the first time”

The location is great but I rather stay closer to the brand name shops (personal opinion). Not only is closer to shopping but I felt like there were more homeless on our end of the beach. Everything is very conveniences....especially we had 2 boys with us. Lots of shops, restaurants and the zoo is 2 blocks away. TIPS: If you have an ipad, you should get the celluar data plan for $20 per month vs. hotel charges like $15 per night. DO NOT take the Aloha bus! The bus schedule is not reliable. We end up waiting for 45 minutes instead of 20 minutes each way. Take the cab and save yourself some time!

“Exactly what I expected”

This hotel was your typical Marriott. The only gripe I have is that there were no holiday decorations like at all the other hotels on Kalakahua.

Dining
You have to visit d.k steakhouse. My husband had the bone-in ribeye, and I had the filet. Both were out of this world!

“Can't wait to go back”

Quite satisfactory. Desk clerk had an error assigning our room. Gave us a "nursery room" instead of a regular room...Was disappointed not finding a microwave oven in the room...

“across the street from the beach”

make sure to specify exactly were your room location is,and to get the view u want ahead of time

“Not a 4*”

hotel is old, especially the small pool (pictures are very misleading..;).at least the room was clean though. Hotel staff are friendly but a bit inefficient. Location wise, right next to the beach but further from the restaurants and shops. It's kind of in a dead zone at night, most of the activity happening near the outrigger/royal hawaiian. definitely not a 4* hotel, much less a resort. Oh and be ready to pay extra everything : internet, business center, etc.

“Marriott Waikiki - good location/price, but is lacking...”

The hotel itself is very nice and in a very good location, but I still think they could offer a microwave and continental breakfast with the room - having to pay extra for what most other hotels offer with the room rubbed me the wrong way.
