"Super easy walk through the building to get to the slopes. Being on the first floor was a nice bonus and made check-in and check-out very easy. The place was clean and the wifi worked great. The kitchen is small but has the basics. We did some light cooking and ate out for dinners which worked out well for us."

"One of the best locations within Snowshoe Village! Access to rentals, lift tickets, the village and slopes are all right there. Definitely would stay in the same location. The unit itself could use some updating (the mini-fridge didn't close, so nothing stayed cold & couldn't be used). "Apartment was just as expected and portrayed by the pictures. Everything was clean and new. Very convenient location to downtown Marlinton. Owner came by to check on things and gave good recommendations for local places to eat and see. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again."

"Property was as listed, slopeside. Equipped as listed. Easy access to village and slopes. Probably should advise renters that a snowmaking machine is located within 10 feet of window and is very loud during snowmaking times. We weren’t offended by it but some might be. We were given the wrong keys at check in, but were promptly responded to and got the proper keys. Overall a good experience."

"Dirty, would not recommend! The hotel is very dated (but I did notice construction going on). The hallways leading to the room were like something out of a horror movie….very dark and creepy even in daytime. Room was dirty! It had carpeted walls with rips & stains, broken doors, mold in bathroom, & dust everywhere. We didn’t run the portable AC because it was filthy. My children & I “slept” fully clothed on top of the covers & left at first light. Literally felt like we were on set for Stranger...

"Highland House is a fantastic ski out location at Snowshoe. Having stayed in a few of the places up there, this was the cleanest and most modern we've visited yet. It was quite lovely."

"Owner and family was super nice and friendly. Cabin backed up to a stream. So even though it rained off and on during my stay, I could open the back door and enjoy the serenity of the stream. The stream also was nice to listen to as I fell asleep each night! The price was super reasonable as well."

"Cabin was clean and cute. Hot water only lasted a couple minutes. Limited supplies - teeny coffee pot, 1 washcloth 2 towels. Unable to reach host in advance of arrival, however he does live onsite."

"The house is country the owner will help with anything you need its so close to skin creek boat launch which connects to stonewall caught alot of perch an large mouth 1 was over 5lbs also 5mins away from stone coal boat launch this property is awsome for the price its un beatable ill be back for sure"
