11 Zinc is a two bedroom ground floor apartment offering self catering holiday accommodation on Headland Road within walking distance of the world famous surfing hotspot, Fistral Beach and Newquay town centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. Offering modern and spacious holiday accommodation this lovely ground floor holiday apartment has an open plan cooking, dining and relaxing area which opens out onto a large private terrace with patio furniture.

FACILITIES

There is a secure storage cage for wet suits, surfboards and bicycles together with a designated car space in the secure underground garage. A lovely, large ground floor terrace overlooking Newquay golf course and views towards Fistral Beach and the sea.

LOCATION

From 11 Zinc guests can either enjoy the sun and waves at Fistral Beach with a choice of restaurants including Rick Stein's fish and chips and a selection of shops, or walk the rugged coastline around the headland into Newquay town centre to shop, eat or just browse.

Great location and lovely apartment, but sort out the check in!
We had a week here in November 2021, and absolutely loved the apartment and location. The actual apartment could not be faulted, beautifully clean and well equipped, great beds and linen and nice showers etc. However, the checking in instructions were wrong, and left us parked outside on double yellows, while we had to try and sort it out. We managed to do this within 15 mins, but , although the contact who rang us back was very helpful, realised what the problem was, and gave us the correct verbal instructions, it was very frustrating. The other major issue for us was the check in and out times - 5pm to check in and 9am to check out, which I felt was unreasonable. The reason given was to deep clean the apartment due to Covid, but, to be honest, I would expect the apartment to have been deep cleaned regardless of Covid, and we have stayed at other rentals in Cornwall during the pandemic, whose check in and out times have been much more reasonable (i.e. 4pm and 10am). I also felt that the warnings to adhere to these and other instructions (to strip the beds and empty all rubbish from the apartment), verged on the bullying in tone, with warnings that non-compliance with each offence would carry a £50 fine. This just felt a bit unnecessary, and took the edge of an otherwise lovely stay. Having said all that, would I stay there again? In a heartbeat, yes.

Best location
If you enjoy being close to the sea then this apartment is ideal. Just a couple of minutes walk and you are on Fistral Beach and all it offers. Or turn left and head into town after a short walk. The apartment offered all we needed for a clean and comfortable stay. A bathroom and an en-suite helps with 4 people, and there’s plenty of storage space. Tv in the front room has internet access and Netflix, with a regular TV in the main bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you’d need for self catering and a fridge and freezer to keep items chilled. The nice part of this apartment is the terrace to front which is a brilliant sun trap. All in all, a great apartment in a brilliant spot.
