“excellent hotel postion”
Hotel in excellent postion for flights and train to manchester. Rooms clean and comfortable although a bit tired. Staff very friendly and helpful, have stayed many times and would recommend it to others.
“CaliforniaGal”
I stayed here thinking it would be better than Bewley's where I normally stay when visiting England - I was WRONG. The 2 restaurants have mediocre food at very expensive prices ($20.00 USD for fish and chips!) Breakfast wasn't available until 10am - WTH? I chose the 4th floor which is non-smoking and has Scandinavian themed rooms. As I exited the elevator the smell of smoke made me gag but I realize this is not the hotels fault - just some stupid ignorant guests smoking in non-smoking rooms. All I can say is that the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were professional. If you are flying American Airlines I would not recommend staying here - it's a long walk to Terminal 3. In future I'll stay at Bewley's or The Crown Plaza and take the very convenient shuttle bus.
“good hotel”
very good hotel convenient for airport and for a trip into Manchester by train, the station being at the end of the walking walkway
“really good hotel”
excellent hotel for early morning travel. My wfe and I had a meal and it was superb. Really friendly staff. Cannot say anymore.. excellent. will book again.
“Easiest location for using Airport”
The hotel was great. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Restaurant service excellent and buffet breakfast worth the cost. Hotel is actually on airport property so it was just a short walk to check in. Highly recommend this hotel.
“Best location for an early morning flight.”
Overall a convenient hotel for an early morning flight, no need for bus transfers. Hotel mini bar prices are very expensive £2.10 for a can of coke or a twix. I do not understand why they need to charge these silly prices.
“Perfect location and access to airport”
This hotel is excellently located if you need to catch an early morning flight out of Manchester airport. The convenience of staying at the airport and walking a short way down an enclosed walkway to the terminal can't be beat. The hotel is very nice and the staff is excellent. We have flown out of Manchester airport many times and we will always stay there the night before from now on. Made for a very relaxed morning before we left.
“Noisy, venue hotel, not recommended”
I was kept awake until 2a.m due to grown adults of both sexes in smart clothes running, singing and shouting in the hallways and talking in the conveniently positioned table and chairs right outside my room. One could also hear them causing mayhem on the other floors too. I would only assume they were there for a wedding, and as such, much more valued guests than myself. The location is the only thing that is good about this hotel. It is very well positioned for access to the terminals. It is a busy hotel, and is used for a number of functions. I woke up at 7am after less than five hours of bad sleep. The room itself was okay, but a bit shabby - the bed head was covered in velvet, nice, but you could see a large grease stain, possibly from head grease over half of it. Not nice. The television was an old small square variety, which was okay for me, but which may not appeal to your tastes. I did not eat in the hotel - Instead I picked up sandwiches and a salad in the Spar shop in the arrivals hall in the terminal.
“Airport convenience”
Location good, you can walk to the terminals via the covered walkway - but it does take a little time. Well soundproofed, no aircraft noise. Sauna etc ok but no great shakes. Very expensive hotel food - best tip, take the train into Manchester (very frequent, runs very late) and enjoy eating there. Bar staff did not wipe tables, even after being requested to do so.
“Convenient location”
The airport location is very convenient. We can drop off the rental car and stay the night before our flight. The one disadvantage of this hotel is that there are no restaurant options except the two located in the hotel. The first time we stayed there, we opted for the fancier of the two restaurants and found the food uninspiring, yet expensive. This last visit, we tried the casual restaurant. A simple burger was absolutely inedible! Fortunately, the cost was removed from our tab. Unfortunately, we went hungry until we could eat breakfast in the airport terminal. So, my advise is to stay for the convenient location, but BYO food.
