The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). "We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at the Wellington. The whole weekend from start to finish was very special and made even better by the staff. Particular mention must go to Ellie who managed a problem for us that was our fault but she went above and beyond to help us work it out. Callum is an absolute ray of sunshine, please don’t ever lose your sparkle and a big thank you to Isaac who carried on in Ellie‘s absence continuing to resolve our problem with great efficiency....

"Nice amenities and comfy bed with nice linens. Pub and dining room are downstairs so noise does travel as rooms are over the pub. Staff very friendly. Good food in the downstairs restaurant. Right in town and sidewalks for getting out and about in the small village. "

"Rooms were pleasant enough and staff that checked us in were really friendly. No food options but in walking distance to plenty of places and town centre. Nice touch to leave out cereals etc for breakfast. Mirrors in bedroom/bathroom quite small so wasn’t the easiest to get ready. Cleaning staff knocking on our doors at 9:30 to ask us to leave keys in door (fine) but also reminding us check out was at 10 made us feel like we were being rushed out of our rooms (we knew what time check out was)"

"The geographic situation is perfect in the center of Portobello market. The view from the room makes you feel a part of it. The room itself was cosy with a sixties feeling and the bed was comfortable. There was even a basket with citruses and the ingredients to add to a glass of Gin if you so wished...On the downside, the corridor and stairs to get there were very dark and could do with a sorrow clean and brightening up..."
