This hotel looks and feels brand new. The front desk staff and staff in the restaurant were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was what many hotels are offering nowadays: waffle batter and maker, yogurt, juice, milk, cereal, coffee, bagels, biscuits and gravy…
I gave less-than-five ratings for a couple of things: 1) my room was very near the front desk; any noise that was occurring in the lobby (talking, phone ringing, people checking in/out) was audible from my room; 2) this was especially noticeable when breakfast began and the waffle maker beeped each time a waffle was ready; 3) I was here because it was the partner hotel for a distance run being held at Ancient Lakes- the ice machine was broken. It’s not a huge deal but we runners like to stay hydrated and often bring coolers to races… which brings me to the biggest disappointment (which is with the town, not the hotel): there’s not much food to be eaten. The hotel does have a restaurant/bar. They have typical pub-type food, which was fine.
Again, it’s important that service was good, people were nice. There just wasn’t much else going on.
