The Dolphin Inn was lovely. we opened our door to find a very large room with very detail taken care of. The bathroom area was large and had a fridge for your convenience. great if you are staying a few nights. the breakfast left for us was a nice bonus. It is well located and very quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

“Decent Place to Stay”

The Dolphin Inn is in a great location and affordably priced. The "continental breakfast" advertised leaves much to be desired - it consisted of some cold cereal, pastry, OJ, one piece of fruit all left in a cooler outside your door. Bed was quite comfy and we enjoyed the fireplace. Overall, an adequate choice.

“Want to give a better rating but a few faults.”

Great in-town location. Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Front desk staff helpful and polite. On-site parking is convenient and included in the room rate. Beds are comfy and the rooms are clean but are dated and a bit tired. Biggest disappointment was the very thin walls. Bring a pair of ear plugs along just in case the neighbors have the tv volume up. If visiting again, we would try another hotel on the same street in the same price range to see if they have more insulation in their walls so you won't feel like you're apart of the conversations in the adjoining room.

“Needs a good cleaning and upkeep”

The inn was ok and conveniently located. The carpet and bedding need a good cleaning or be replaced.

“Great Location”

The best part about the Dolphin Inn is the location. It is a five minute walk to all the shops and stores. The motel itself is older and dated. The rooms were clean, but the walls are extremely thin. We were woken up after midnight when the people above us came in and they were not being loud. The televisions are also small and old. We were watching a college game and had to place the chairs at the end of the bed, so we could see the game. The front desk staff are inconsistent, upon check in she was great, the next morning a different person really didn't seem to care.

“Nice but Needs a Remodel”

The hotel staff was very friendly, charming, courteous, and professional. The location is excellent. However, the hotel is in bad need of remodeling. In an area like Carmel I expect slightly older hotels to fit in with the surroundings. Some folks might call this hotel "quaint" or "rustic" but it was beyond that for me and just seemed old and run-down. Don't get me wrong - it was clean and I think well maintained but you can only put so many years and so many coats of paint on a hotel before it is simply spent. Give this place a major facelift and it could be great.
