Needs help

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Cons: Cleanliness-they need to clean the floors
Location: Good Location to get to Monterey & Carmel
Small hotel, very busy week on the bay with car show. Bus tour came in at 11:00pm & left at 6:30am very noisy. Don't count on breakfast or coffee as they don't serve until 8:00 am.

Basic stay

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Gotel was clean, air conditioning dis not work so we opened the windows. Ok but it was very loud outside. I have small children so requested bottom floor, was denied. Then about 8 pm when kids get their bath and are wild woth energy in that 10x15 room the ran around for a minute. The phone rings and the guy at the desk says quiet down. I reminded him that i requested a bottom dloor room and i will not tie my 2 two year olds down. So overall if you are single and can sleep through noise stay here for the money. If you have a family go aomewhere else. Oh and breakfast if thats what you call call danish and coffee sucked.

Excessively priced for poor service and no facilit

Posted 30-Jul-2014
Would have preferred the back seat of our car as it would have been more comfortable. Staff we're not helpful or friendly. Towels were soiled and full of holes. For the price you would have expected 5 star service and amenities not the half star received. Recommend other places to save disappoinent

how to be gouged on a Saturday evening

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: outrageous price, indifferent staff, soiled carpet, no place to hang clothes, "breakfast" that = coffee cookies. Ridiculously narrow parking space
Location: cannery row
grotesquely overpriced even for a weekend, don't stay here

Pros: The Wifi
Cons: Not a lot probably except don't talk it up on any websites and put the price down accordingly!
Location: The beach closest to motel was covered in a green algae and not nice at all but a 15 min drive took you to a very nice part.
Arrived to find a very average/old motel with no facilities other than wifi. Located on quite a busy road and VERY expensive for what it was. For 5 of us it was overcrowded even though the man did try to give us his biggest room.

okay hotel...

Pros: the cost was inexpensive and was near to Monterey.
Cons: Improve their door and window security. Doors and windows seemed too easy to break into.
the hotel was overall clean but not very secured.

Overpriced and disappointing

Posted 02-Jun-2014
Cons: Please don't give false impression that they will offer a "light breakfast." Better not to offer anything. Only staff we met wasn't professional.
Location: About 1 hr drive to big sur. Questionable location.
We paid the price of not making an early reservation for our memorial weekend stay at the Big Sur area. By the time we booked this, there were not many options left and they were all overpriced. I know this is my fault!!! This hotel is within reasonable distance of big sur if you don't have a better option. The location was questionable; I don't think we were in a safe area. We arrived there late (around 10:30 PM) and there were no parking spots available for us to use. When we inquired about that, the staff member came out to check and acted surprised…. the one option left was to park on the street…..in that scary-looking neighborhood!!!! Luckily, a guest drove out as we were walking towards our room and we took their parking space… sorry!! Maybe it didn't even make a difference any way! The rooms were non-smoking, but the cigarets' odor gives you a slap in the face as soon as you open the door. The room was spacious, but the furniture was very basic: no drawers for your clothes. Only a very small, old-looking armoire for us to hang clothes, also without drawers. TV had very poor reception and it's remote did not work at all (not that it matter much for us anyway). Their complementary "light breakfast" was a joke: fake orange juice and pre-packed pasties. No coffee, not even a banana. After paying close to 250/night after fees & taxes, I would expect they could afford to buy some bananas or cheap apples. Will never stay here again. Avoid this hotel if you can!!

The motel is fine. It is cheap and the bed was relatively clean. But there was a weird smell all over the place! There was a morning breakfast, but it is really basic; orange juice and a little snack.. No coffee -_- It is good if you are on a tight budget & want to rest for a night.

Didn't even stay and use the room- we left and found another hotel - the hotel smelled badly- it was uninviting.

Very clean and close to everything.

Pros: Price and cleanliness.
Cons: Better towels.
Location: Just outside Monterey but close to the bay. For the price, it was wonderful.
Very basic hotel but great deal on pricing. I would stay there again and recommend it for the budget traveler. It was very clean but the towels were a little too thin for good usage. Restaurants, drug store and other places to shop were within walking distance.
