“Very Good but not great”
Everything was very satisfactory with the hotel but the room accomodations were smaller than we were used to. We got the fourth (top) floor but the larger accommodations appeared to be on the lower floors. Great location as a starting point for any trip in the area.
“Good Value for the Area”
The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated on the interior. The service was good and the room was clean.
“Great stop-over in Carmel”
Lovely hotel - luxury rooms were great. Lovely facilities, Pool area surrounded by flowers, fire pit for the evening to sit around. Really liked this place.
“Great Hotel”
We enjoyed our stay very much!
“Just so so”
Staff were generally helpful and friendly. The much advertised fast wifi was non existent. Despite repeated reminders that wifi was not available in the room the problem persisted. The lifts were quite temperamental. The hotel seemed to be geared towards working clients. We were on vacation and the hotel and neighborhood were closed after 9 p.m. The bar closed at 9 o'clock which left us looking for a venue to relax. The hotel room did have the golf chanel which partly compensated for the early nights!
“Nice looking room & very comfortable”
The room looked really nice. The furniture was modern & the bed was comfy. The refrigerator in the room was convenient. We especially liked the blue "mood lighting" above the headboard. I will say, however, that the walls were very thin & we could easily here people in the next room just talking. I'm sure they heard us too, but we weren't talking...
“Great hotel & Location”
Clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. Front desk employees were friendly and helpful. Had a great stay. Also had nice outside area.H
“We'll be back.”
Upon entering the lobbu of the hotel we were greeted with smiles and friendliness. The establishment was well taken care of and clean. For the cost we thought we got our moneys worth. However, the breakfast that they offer at $15 for a party of two was not very good and the variety was limited. that would be my only complaint.
“Love this hotel”
Great place to stay on the way down Highway 1. Stayed here twice, once 3 years ago, and again this week. Had a lovely stay both times, the rooms are clean and nicely kept, the "Austin-Powers-on-acid" interior is actually cool and not annoying, and the landscape design is beautiful. A very nice place to stay!
“Pet-friendly, but expect surcharges”
The hotel is conveniently located on Hwy 1, just outside Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Restaurants, pubs, shopping, etc. are in walking distance; however, Carmel and Monterey are a short car ride away. The jacuzzi and pool area were beautiful, but located ouside. Due to the cooler temps in early November, I didn't take advantage of it. The hotel also offered live music on Friday and Saturday night and a Happy Hour; not sure when it started, but it ended at 7pm. If more than $5.00 drink was purchased, the Happy Hour Buffet was available for free.
