You cannot walk on the beach without shoes. The beach is not sand, it is gravel with pebbles and large stones. You cannot get coffee and food at anytime. If you cannot get a cup of coffee or tea in the morning at least have a coffee maker inside the room, but there was not. The guy at the checkin counter with eyeglasses is not welcoming or friendly at all and kind of rude.

Dear Mrs. Yeremian. Thanks so much for your comments. But should be a misunderstood. The bar of our hotel is open from 8.00 am to 11.00 am for breakfast. And still open from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm offering coffes, teas, drinks, sandwiches and tapas.

Lovely little hotel.
Friendly welcome, comfortable beds and beautiful sea views with balcony. Small quiet hotel. Good range of breakfast selection, continental and small hot selection. Lovely pastries and bread. Fridge and air con but no facilties for tea/coffee in room.

Stunning location.
The views and location of the hotel were fantastic The sea view rooms are ok but could do with some updating. Not a great deal of power from the showers especially when others were using them. The pool view rooms were very nice. The breakfasts were amazing and the sea views from the dining area were brilliant. Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Nice hotel - short on food
Very nice hotel right on the beach, staff very helpful and friendly, only issue was there was no evening meal, sandwiches were available from 11am to 11pm.

The making of this hotel is it's fabulous location on the beach. The front of the hotel is on quite a busy road so rooms at the front can be noisy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good. Rooms are very clean and spacious. This was our second stay and we will be back xx

Gem of a Hotel on the Playa
This was the second time we have stayed here, will definitely book again. This time we opted for a beach view which did not disappoint. The rooms have everything you need; clean, nicely decorated and a fridge. Breakfast is lovely with freshly made cooked eggs, bacon etc on demand with the benefit of a good buffet style continental breakfast available. Biggest benefit is that is not a huge hotel like most on the playa; the staff make you feel welcome.

Reliably good value - our fourth visit
This was our fourth stay here. We had a sea view balcony again. Very clean, comfortable and friendly. Good breakfast as usual. We like this end of the playa - quiet but close enough to reach a good range of bars and restaurants. It’s in the bus routes to garrucha and the pueblo as well as the indalo end of the playa. We will book again

We had a double sea view room. Lovely to wake to the sound of the waves. The hotel and room were clean and the staff were very helpful. Wonderful breakfast. Wish we had booked for longer than one night

Nice enough staff, comfortable enough bed, pillows not great. The breakfast very basic. Exiting by car onto the road a bit hairy. A combination of a steep slope, bend in the road (from the left) and overgrown shrubbery.

Okay, not great, no idea why rave reviews
We stayed firstly in room 3, sea view, two small double beds, large household fridge. Shower didn’t drain very well and we had to make sure it didn’t overflow the tray. Hairdryer didn’t work. Quite though and lovely sea view. We also stayed in room 115, no sea view, fine, but we were almost over the front door and the noise of it opening and closing was like someone snoring, for a few seconds at a time. Room was freezing without using the air con to heat it, it had a horrible smell of smoke in it, they had plugged in an air fresher in the bathroom, but the smell is unpleasant. We slept well in room 3, had a terrible nights sleep in room 115. Small, individual toiletries, not particularly nice, wasting a lot of plastic, as did all the individually wrapped little plates of cheese slices, ham etc at breakfast. Breakfast by far the worst of any hotel I’ve stayed in in Spain, it is only a 3 star, but still, it wasn’t great. Vegans will definitely struggle. No plant milks (they have cereal, so maybe take your own, as we did). They were offering baked beans, so that’s an option. Scant options. Staff nice enough. They had closed the kitchen for dinner the day we arrived, there was very little on offer (that was decent) open nearby. There’s a cafe over the road that does greasy spoon type food. Along the road Cokki was okay, but pricy for what it was. It wasn’t terrible (well, room 15 was), it was cheap and good value, but a few minor changes are needed

Great little hotel in Mojacar
Our room was fabulous. Brilliant views overlooking the sea and a perfect little sun trap,even in January. Staff were lovely,nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful and good.

Overall a fantastic stay at Hotel Continental and beyond our expectations for what we paid. The staff work extremely hard to keep it one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever visited. Breakfast is awesome and the ‘Cafe Solo’s’ were amazing. Our room looked directly at the sea which was stunning to see every day. We had a great new year there thank you.

Absolutely our first choice hotel everytime we visit Mojacar Playa. We have stayed many times at the hotel and we will continue to stay on future visits. We have also recommended the hotel to family and friends whom have also returned time after time. 10 out of 10 in every aspect.

Very clean
Really liked the hotel however it was breakfast only due to out of season. Water in the room the first day and never replace. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The hotel was clean and pool area was great.
