“I would stay there again”

I thought the hotel was very good value for the money and it was fairly close to whereas needed to be. I would definitely stay here again.

“WONDERFUL . . ,”

I read all the reveiw's before booking this hotel . . . and many werent good ones, but each to their own and I can tell all of you , go back and see All the Improvements they have done. New Paint, flat screen TV's Super helpful staff, fantastic continental breakfast, nice fluffy towels . . . Clean Room and area all around hotel was clean,too. No Shady people hanging out, no loud parties. It is in a perfect location, train is near by, but didnt bother my sleep. Beds are comfortable, nice sheets, alot of pillows. I would definately book at this hotel again.

Area recommendations

I never really saw any part of Midland that looked bad, Im sure they have their part, but all around that hotel and all downtown were the Midland Center is was fantastic. Big Springs Hwy (downtown area) has alot of great dining places.

“Oilfield dirty.”

Nothing you can't live with. Certainly pricey for the quality of the hotel/motel.

Area recommendations

250 loop north looks like better quality hotels. Unfortunately it was hard to find a room in the town with short notice. Beggars can't be choosy.

“Very poor service. Ask directions - was handed a phone book.”

I've stayed in La Quinta Inns before. Generally, a very comfortable lodging. This was not one of those times. The sanitation level was very low, the front desk personel was unexperienced and the breakfast was marginal at best. We stayed only one night here then moved to another Inn on Loop 250 in Midland. We visit Midland yearly for a week at a time. We enjoy exploring new places to stay each visit. Of all our vists to Midland, this is the least acceptable lodging we have ever stayed in!

Area recommendations

Northeast Midland just off the Loop 250. Excellent access to all main roads and near some very good resturants.

“Disgusting”

When we arrived, one of the stairwells near our room was broken and we were unable to use it. Once we got into our room, the bed had a piece of tape very obviously on the exposed sheet. I thought it was just an oversight but then when we went into the bathroom, there were fresh towels but HAIR all over the place. It was in the tub, on the floor, and in the sink. It was so gross. We asked that housekeeping come but they never did and my husband ended up cleaning the room. Then they promised to have the manager call us when we checked out...guess what? We are still waiting on that call! Completely unsatisfied and I'll NEVER stay there again.

Area recommendations

Not anywhere on Wall near Business 20. The rest of the city isn't too bad. This area is almost like the slums and there are a lot of shady people hanging around.

“Shower was nasty but the people were nice.”

The floor of the shower was black...I am sure it is because there are a lot of drillers that stay at this hotel but non the less, a magic sponge is needed. The rooms were dated but overall ok.

“Adequate for the price”

Only real problem I had was that at the very back of the hotel, there were what seemed to be people sleeping in a van in the parking lot, and at one time one of them walked to the back fence to urinate. Perhaps some parking lot security would be in order.

“Affordable Comfort”

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was an older hotel and not updated with the newest flat screen TV's or fancy furnishings, but it was clean and quiet and comfortable. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and the price couldn't be beat!
