“Excellent Hotel I recommend”
The Barcelo Hamilton is about 2 miles from the centre of Mahon and served by a good bus service. The food at the hotel was very good and the drinks selection excellent. We were there over ny birthday on a All Inclusive basis and had a wonderful time. The staff even sent a bottle of wine up to the room, a nice touch for which I was very grateful. I definately would recommend this Hotel.
“Nice hotel, needs more sunbeds”
Hotel, was very nice, food was plentiful and varied. Wasn'tfantastic but hotel food in bulk never is. But was generally extremely good with lots of selections. Only gripw with the hotel was the pool. Pool itself was OK, but for a hotel with 160 rooms, there were only 40 sunbeds. With the nearest beach quite some distance away this meant having to get up extremely early to try to grab a sunbed. If you missed out you would then basically need to hire a car to get to a beach. THEY NEED MMORE SUNBEDS!!!!! Other than that a nice hotel for the money. Nice quiet location, maybe a little too quiet, depending on what you want. One tip.....don't book a transfer before you go, too expensive, just get a taxi, its much cheaper
“Ideal for a quiet break”
The Barcelo Hamilton Hotel has a good location,being on the coast and free from traffic noise. The staff are friendly and all speak English, and the hotel has a relaxing reception area and a large bar in which the staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was okay, nothing special, although it was great value for money. The hotel seems to cater for the older tourist, but that wasn't a problem. The only setback was that there are no beaches in the immediate area. Overall I would recommend the hotel for a relaxing, quiet holiday.
“Great Location”
A few minutes walk to the pretty harbour with lots of restaurants to choose from. Very very pretty. Didn't avail of the pool was only there for one night but it seemed very popular. We had a room facing the sea which was lovely. Only negative was the air conditioning wasn't very effective. Temp mid-30's made it an interrupted night's sleep.
