While we didn't see any deer (our timing may of been off) we saw plenty of hawks and had a very territorial pair of hummingbirds that kept us company out on the back porch. It is at a dead end and very secluded with only sounds of nature and possibly ancestors, with a spectacualr view. The Jimmy Driftwood Barn, Mellons Country Store, and McSpaddens Dulcimer Shoppe is right down the highway the road and the town center is just a little further down."

"We planned and attended a wedding at Blanchard Springs area. My father is 92 and loves the river. He enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watch the river roll by. The view was beautiful.
