"I liked the rooms, a nice ocean view. Rooms were nicely laid out , bathroom with rain shower head. The balcony was a nice place to relax. Friendly staff. My only wish was that they could have offered a late checkout…, they did store our luggage ."

"Beautiful site on a cove facing the Atlantic. The staff are great and very knowledgeable and helpful. Leatherback turtles nest in the cove and the staff work with a conservation group to facilitate turtle watching. Excellent place to base our visit in Dominica."

The property is close to Douglas Charles airport, which is great, but it is extremely isolated if you don’t have your own car. It wasn’t easy to persuade tours to pick up here as most operated from Roseau on the other side of the island. "Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm...

"This property is a tranquil retreat in the middle of a forest and adjacent next to a beautiful river that we all loved swimming in! The owners had many great suggestions of things to see and fo nearby, great places to eat, and places to go for this being our second trip to Portsmouth so we had too much to do and lived it all! Our only regret was that we didn’t have more nights here!"
