Truly Amazing

Posted 06-Jan-2014
Pros: The rooms, the pools , the gym, the sauna, the setting, I can just go on and on....
Cons: You need a car to really take advantage of your stay, no car , then you have to rely on taxis that can be very expensive in the long run
Location: Lots of first class restaurants, Puerto banus is near ,
Looking at the blue sea in the horizon in contrast with a bright green garden with palm trees, and in the center a magnificent swimming pool, with little bridges water cascade etc. you think you have found paradise. Breakfast was amazing, the choice is so big, you can eat for the whole day and not feel hungry till late, we did not try the restaurant, but I am sure it would have been amazing,

beware

all near perfect except alarm had not been cleared so it woke us up crack of down. Great hotel but petty policy of charging 15 euros per person for wi fi when it is free in most places which charge a lot less for the rooms

paradise

Posted 13-Nov-2013
Pros: grounds, breakfast, views, beach, the building
Cons: attention to problems in the rooms?
Location: Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella all really close, loads of restaurants, lovely beaches, Rhonda is good. Gibraltar and Tangier also good.
A rare thing to find, a first class hotel with all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel and yet still a comfortable and easy place to be. The grounds are spectacular, clearly laid out to make the place feel like paradise, and it kind of works its a treat. breakfast on the patio is one of the best, very nice location. views from our room were great, and the access to the beach is just fabulous. you can see down the coast to Gibraltar and across to Morocco from the beach area and the sunset views are lovely. Out TV didn't work and i fixed it myself after 4 days of waiting, and our air conditioning didn't work but we had the windows open so it was not a problem, so not a perfect stay, but a small issues in such a great place.

One of the best

This hotel is well run with good facilities and friendly staff. Everything about the hotel is comfortable. They serve a good breakfast. The rooms are clean the beds and sun beds are also comfortable and in view of the sea is extremely pleasant. The hotel is highly recommended. I wouldn't however say that the general area is somewhere that I would particularly want to return to.

Great luxury Hotel in a good location

Posted 19-Sep-2013
Pros: Service, swimming pools, gym, staff.
Location: There is a good shopping mall and a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with 3 fantastic swimming pools, sea-view room, beautiful gardens, well equipped gym, attentive staff and excellent service. The location is good too, on the beach, a short walk from a nice shopping mall. The sea wasn't particularly inviting but you can walk/run on the beach for miles.

Wasn't worth the high price

Posted 11-Aug-2013 on Hotels.com
The overall experience was great at this resort. But the prices at the restaurants and surrounding amenities were not worth the service received. I believe they market themselves as a five star.... Which is an ambitious moniker. It's in a gorgeous location surrounded by beauty but an inexperienced wait staff puts a damper on the experience.... Considering the high rates of the resort.

Very comfortable hotel

The service and amenities and quality was like most Kempinski hotel's, excellent. The food was of a very high standard. All like a 5 star hotel should be.

Superb Luxury Hotel for Families

Posted 21-Jul-2013
Superb Hotel for families who want a luxury hotel experience. The facilities are excellent - especially for Children who are unusually well catered for with a Kids Club for younger children and activities such as Archery and volleyball for older Children. Water sports are available too from the beach.
