It's been a long time between visits to Madrid and my recollection was foggy re: best areas to stay. We chose Salamanca on recommendation and then found Hotel Serrano via a search. It was an excellent choice and will most likely return. Comfortable room, quiet environment and a very friendly (and helpful) staff made the stay most enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Situated next to an important boulevard in the city. So many good restaurants in the chic Salamanca neighborhood! Short walk to Gran Fénix hotel for Súper cocktails at night. Price/quality cannot be beat.
I've only stayed one night, no breakfast. Well positioned on Calle Serrano, surprised to see there is no ramp, we had heavy luggage which are hard to carry on stairs. reception people were nice, room was cosy but pretty small and bath is a bit outdated. for short stays, I would say is great option

Great location for public transportation, Great Area for shopping (All designer stores literally around the corner), Friendly staff, and a lowkey hotel… Thank you 😍
Dear Mª Lourdes. Thank you very much for your excellent review of our Hotel, we will be delighted to host you again for future trips to our city.Regards
Dear Ingmarie. Thank you for the review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to host you again whenever your travels bring you to Madrid.
The hotel was very practical for a solo traveller. The location was superb as there were lots of shops and cervecerías nearby. There is also a bus stop a few minutes walk away with frequent services to Gran Vía and Museo del Prado. The room itself was a good size, equipped with air conditioning. The bed was rather comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. I would definitely stay here when visiting Madrid again!
I spent 2 nights at the hotel for a business trip. Location is very good close to restaurants and services. Staff was friendly. The hotel rooms are a little old fashioned but very functional. Wifi worked well.
Will likely stay there again next time.
This hotel is nice, clean and very convenient. Its location is perfect as it's close to metro stations, La Castellana, El Retiro and La Puerta de Alcala

Many thanks for your nice reviw,
We hope to see you soon again
I checked out on a national holiday when post offices were not open, so I couldn’t buy stamps for my post cards. The gentlemen at the front desk said they had stamps, and gave me some for free. Thank you so much for that kind gesture :))

Disliked: Staff & service
Booking date was wrong.
When I tried to explain what happened, personnel didn't care. Asked for a partial refund and said no. Asked to book again and at least get a minimum discount, also said no.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Staff was very friendly upon checking in. The room was comfortable. The walls are a bit thin and you could hear other guests outside your door but other than that, I truly enjoyed my stay here. I loved the access to the balcony. It was very nice
