Belmont Shore
Excellent location, quiet neighborhood with easy access to great restaurants and bars. Cozy apartment good for 1 or 2 people. Parking is street but I’ve never had a problem finding a spot.(April) The owners Carol and Traian communicate well and are very helpful. I’ve stayed here multiple times and would recommend.

Wonderful hosts, great location!
We stayed for 10 days on business and could not have been happier with our choice to stay in Belmont Shores. The area is great, with plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Our hosts were attentive, but we had plenty of privacy. Parking was only a minor problem a couple of times, but never had to walk more than a couple hundred feet from the apartment. Most days, parking right by the apartment was available. Just a couple of notes...there is no food shopping within walking distance, (aside from a Rite-Aid with limited choices) and no laundry nearby. Highly recommend staying here!

Great Place
We had a wonderful stay. Carol and Traian are very down to earth kind of people. They were responsive to our needs and made our stay very enjoyable. The apartment is in a very good location, close to good restaurants and the beach. The neighborhood was clean and quiet at night. We would go back there in a heart beat .😊

West Coast Fall Getaway
Navigating to the property was easy. Picking the house at night was not the easiest as the numbers on the other properties was not so obvious. The house number for this property is small and not so pronounced. Please take you time when you arrive on the street. I was able to access the property as stated by owner. Easy check in check out. Upon entering the property, it looks the way it is advertised. This historic charm mixed with the more modern design gives this property an identity all on its own. The property sleeps 2 comfortably than 3. I would say. The property was clean relatively speaking. The TV remote or other low-touch items in the property could use a little more attention as they were for example dusty or had some residue on them. The sofa sleeper is ok, but not the most comfortable, older and stiff trying to pull out it. The effort was made to mend where it is unfortunately ripped; it has a mattress pad to improve the feel of the mattress. The amenities are as stated. It is too my understanding the other guest that traveled with me asked for additional towels. The owner seemed to be hesitant with providing them. I asked the owner on another occasion and she did provide them. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, with unique homes. Parking can get busy. You can find a spot though. It is a great location. A nice walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. The owner was accessible and helpful.

Hello Melanie, Thank you for your comments. That is too bad that you found our house hard to find at night . That is why it is really important to arrive earlier in the afternoon or evening- so that its easier to see and so that we can greet you. We are not a hotel and therefore cannot greet at all hours of the night. Having said that we accommodated your late arrival as best we could anyway by giving you instructions where the key would be. We always say that it is really an apt for 2 persons as it is only 500 sq feet. For a couple of nights someone may want to sleep on the pull out couch which most people do find comfortable although I agree it is getting old and we are going to have it repaired or replace it soon. As far as the towels go please look back at your contract as only one set of towels per person was promised for a 6 nts stay. At 7 nts or more we give 2 sets - thus my hesitancy as I didn't understand why you were expecting it - however we did grant your request anyway because we care about our guest 's comfort. I am glad that you appreciated the uniqueness of the houses here and enjoyed the neighborhood and location.

Great little gem!
We were in town for a wedding and I used to live in this neighborhood so we were looking for something in the Heart of Belmont shore, clean, and comfortable. This over the garage apartment checked every box! Private, accessible, cute, conveniently located, and with lovely owners to greet you upon arrival and with you safe travels upon departure. Will stay again!

Belmont Shores
Great little apartment close to the beach, shops, and dining. Only street parking is available but I had no problem finding a parking spot during my week stay. Carol was great and answered my questions and requests quickly. I recommend staying here for a little beach side getaway.

Very nice 1Bdm.
Very clean with easy access to 2nd St. restaurants and the beach. Parking at night can be a challenge. The unit would be even nicer for a longer stay if there was a range top. Owners are very nice and helpful. I easily can recommend this rental.

Great location
I’ve stayed at this home multiple times. The floor upgrade is nice along with a new bed. Its really good for 1-2 people. A great quiet residential location very close to 2nd street for restaurants and bars. Parking is fine you just may have to walk a little, but its a great area to walk and see all the unique homes. I know the owners and they are very responsive and easy to work with for any issues. Would book again.

Wonderful stay in Long Beach
The property was a great place to stay for our trip to Long Beach. It was clean, well-stocked, and the perfect size for the two of us. We had a slight miscommunication with check-in but that was resolved. We would stay here again if we found ourselves in the area in the future!

Location was great!
My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves at Belmont Shore. Everything was within walking distance. The beach with its walking path and biking path were at the end of the street. We biked, walked, and jogged along the beach. Also, coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants were down the street as well. Many places to dine within walking distance. The apartment was perfect for the two of us and the bikes we rented from the owners were nice for riding along the beach!

Super quaint private upper flat!
My husband & I came to California for a wedding. The place looked just like the pictures. It was super comfy, everything worked, nice free tv channels. Everything we anticipated. The host was courteous and informative. Safe quite area. The neighboring area had many shops and good places to eat. All & all a delight. We wound definitely return!

Family Summer Stay
My family had a great week staying in the cute Belmont Shore Apt. The proximity to the beach is why I chose it. The neighborhood is great, close to shops and restaurants too. Everything is close by. Parking is tricky especially on street cleaning days. Hosts are very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Just a quick walk from the beach
I enjoyed my stay in this cozy little back of house apartment. It's located just a 3 minute walk from the shopping and eating boulevard. The beach was just a 10 minute walk. Quite and super cute neighborhood. Carol is a great communicator. Very professional.

Location Location
Beautiful neighborhood a couple of blocks from everything Belmont shore has to offer. The beach itself is 6 blocks or so, walkable unless you have mobility issues, groceries will require a car or Uber. The apartment itself is satisfactory overall, the furniture needs a good cleaning at minimum. Host rules will let you know it is "self-catering" so amenities are sparse including your assigned linen (which is threadbare) for four days we were assigned one bath towel one hand towel and one washcloth each. As a female with shoulder length hair I had a choice to dry my hair or my body, same with the washcloth, face or body. Bring your own beach towels as there are none in the apartment.

Dear Nancy, Your negative comments are shocking - since when you were here we asked you every single day how things were going and if you needed anything and you reported all was fine and didn't say a word otherwise. For less than 5 days stay everyone gets one large towel, one small towel and one facecloth - for most this is sufficient however we would have gladly given you more if you had said something to us. We also have plenty of beach towels too for anyone that needs them - In May most people aren't going to the beach so we didn't put them out that weekend. The beach on the Bay is only a 3 minute walk - maybe you missed that one? The comment about the linen being thread-bare is simply untrue as we replace the linen and towels all of the time and never keep old ones...You can see from our mainly 5 star reviews...We also did an extra service for you - mailing your clothing home to you that you left here without even so much as a "thank you" from you. That is not very polite, nor kind on your part.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this older, smaller, yet cute 1 BR near 2nd Avenue in Belmont Shore. Our hosts were attentive and everything worked well in the unit. We would gladly stay here again!

Great Stay! Would definitely book again!
This was a perfect place for two people. It’s a small space, but furnished beautifully. It has a queen sized bed and pull out sofa - and in a quiet area. The hosts are great. Very friendly, and made the check in process extremely easy. The area around the property is VERY cute and has a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The only downside is the parking. The listing makes it sound like street parking is ample - this is not the case. If you are not from the area and not familiar with parking in CA, it is difficult to find a spot.

This is a tiny apartment but quite nice. The neighborhood and parking are excellent. Owners are pleasant and helpful … very easy arrival and departure (plus immediately fixed one issue in apt). We stayed for a week while touring colleges in LA area and San Diego with our teenaged son. The location was perfect … convenient to freeways and also many restaurants nearby. Neighborhood is amazing!

Comfortably furnished one-bedroom apartment, close to beaches. All amenities except an oven, which didn't matter given proximity to restaurants and grocery stores. Such a cute Castia, located just walking distance to the beach, lot of great shops and restaurants! Truly a gem, the host is very welcoming, the place was clean. If we're back in that area we would rebook with them again. The location is key, would say 3 people max but great for just two who want to getaway. Great pricing and they have a hot skillet for cooking, and room to store suitcases. We loved it here!

University Visit
Our stay was short, but the apartment had everything that was needed for a party of two and then some. Location was excellent, parking was not a problem. And of course 2nd Ave. was a two minute walk. Carol was excellent with communication. Great stay as we were visiting our son at his University, for parents weekend. Safe, clean and beachy Vibe if you like that. Host were excellent as was the property.

Perfect Spot
This was the perfect place to stay during our vacation. It had everything we needed; cozy and comfortable. Our vacation was pretty booked up so we were really just looking at a place to crash, and this apartment was amazing! The shower water pressure was better than I’ve had at most hotels I’ve stayed in and the bed was very comfortable. Carol was very patient and answered all my questions ahead of time and Traian was there to check us in and walk through everything. They were both extremely nice and Traian was very courteous throughout our stay. It is Very close to the beach and tons of places to eat. They even had menus of close places so when we got in late one night we were able to quickly decide what we wanted. This was a 10/10 stay and will definitely be booking with them in the future. Thank you Carol and Traian for making us feel at home!

Perfect stay close to the beach!
Everything about the stay was perfect. Easy check in, perfect location - walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Clean and comfortable, lots of windows for fresh air, well stocked kitchen. Parking was never a problem. I will definitely be back!
