“Great Value in Bayswater”
My wife and I stayed for two nights in the Bayswater Inn Hotel, a recommendation we found on Expedia.co.uk. The price for B&B in this part of London was very reasonable indeed and we did wonder if we had made a mistake. I am very pleased to say that we did not, this hotel gives exceptional value for money, no frills, no nonsense, just exactly what you want from a bedroom and breakfast place when visiting London. I am so pleased that we found this place, thank you Expedia we intend to use this hotel every time we visit London in the future. Well done all the staff at the Bayswater inn for being very polite and very helpful at all times. We will see you soon.
“Good Value”
This is a great value hotel in a great location in walking distance to Kensington Gardens/ Hyde Park and Notting Hill. Nice sized comfortable rooms and good buffet breakfast. I try to get a room here any time Im staying in London because its a good quality hotel with budget rates in a good location.
“Nice hotel, good value, great location.”
The Bayswater Inn Hotel is located in a very quiet area, just a short walk from the bustling Queensway/Bayswater areas. A five-minute walk to both the Bayswater and Queensway Tube Stations, the hotel couldn't be more convenient. I had a street-front room, but there was no outside noise for my two-night stay. The quality of the hotel is decent, but the overall value considering the price and location is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely sized for the price, and everything was kept very clean. The walls were a little thin, making it very easy to hear people passing in the hallways or talking in the rooms next door. However, this is quite common. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the Bayswater Inn Hotel, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable hotel in a great area.
“average.”
Very average hotel, needs updating / re- furbishment. Room was clean but small with old portable TV. Quite well located close to a few traditional London pubs serving good food. Plenty of places within 5 mins walk to eat and drink. Parking limited. Over all ok for the price.
“Not too happy”
Shower didn't work. Night man on reception was extremely rude.
“So so”
Room was three twin beds, which was interesting. No shampoo or toiletries provided, no internet in room -- very basic. It affordable for London, but you get what you pay for.
“Very Bad Experience--Will Never Stay Here Again”
Please do not base your decision solely on this review--please read other reviews and make an informed decision. This review is a true and fair account of the stay. Complaint(s): (1) We were placed in the basement / level -1 of the hotel with no view. Requested a room on a floor above ground--unfortunately no rooms were available. The room was dark, smelled slightly damp, and had poor TV and mobile phone reception. An ironing board + iron were requested but were not provided. (2) There were no fire safety maps / diagrams in the room. This was a major concern as there were many winding corridors, poor signage, and confusing numbering sequences that made the room and exit difficult to find. In the event of a fire--in dense smoked filled corridors, such poor signage and confusing and winding corridors might prove to be fatal. (3) The lift took a long time serving upper floors before eventually going to the basement / level -1. (4) The wardrobe smelled. The smell was a mixture of damp wood / mould and strong toilet cleaning detergent. The next day all the clothes placed in the wardrobe had to be aired to get rid of the lingering smell. (5) The bathroom was too small, but it was very clean. (6) The name on the front of the building did not match the legal name on Expedia making the hotel hard to find. (7) Towels and bed sheets were stained. (8) No "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door. Positive(s): (1) The hotel is in a central location--only 5 minutes from restaurants and shops.
“The worst bed I slept on!”
This hotel remembers better times. One of two elevators was out of order during our 6 night stay. Do not forget your shampoo, because you get only a small soup and towel. However, the personnel was very helpful and friendly.
“DEPRESSING!”
staff was extremely rude. i mean, REALLY RUDE. room was not clean and was RIDICULOUSLY SMALL! room was also in the basement and one can never find it cause the place is crowed with little rooms. teenagers from east europe were running in the hallway all night. (yes, u gotta be under 18 to be able to stand a place like this) it was a totally depressing experience. i felt as if i was inside a horror film. dont stay there.
“Nice Location, OK Hotel”
Good location in the Bayswater area, near Hyde Park and several convenient tube stops. The hotel itself is unexceptional, but staff are polite and my room was sufficient.
