Small and cheap

Posted 06-Sep-2014
I understand this is a cheap hotel and would compare to a super 8 in the USA. However, the room was very cramped and not very comfortable.

Close to town, fab staff

Restaurant good price, basic food.fab staff, everyone couldnt do enough for you. Room clean but shower capsule terrible, water pressure non existent. Very very noisy with doors slamming shut that can be heard all over hotel floor.

No frills great place to stay near Albert Dock.

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: Close enough to walk to Albert Dock and Liverpool One for shopping. Free car parking.
Cons: The rooms were a little stuffy - although it was August!
Location: There isn't much in the immediate vicinty although I did notice a casino a couple of doors away. There was a McDonalds and KFC across the road.
The hotel does what it says on the tin. If you don't want to pay city centre premiums and don't care about luxury fittings then I recommend it. The hotel is located about a 5/10 minute easy walk to Albert Dock and has the added bonus of free car parking. The room was small and simply furnished but it did the trick as we were out all of the day. The shower room was compact to say the least but it was clean and that's the main thing. The staff were all attentive and friendly.

Dolby Hotel Liverpool

Quiet Location, nice patio area overlooking the river. About a 10 minutes walk to Albert Dock and 20 minutes to town. The rooms are adequate size, very clean, and have everything you would need. As mentioned on other reviews the bathrooms are small, but compact. If you are short you may have problems with the shower as it is attached to the ceiling and will be hard to reach to move direction. You will also have very clean hair expecially if you shower twice a day, as if you are short your hair will get wet each time. Shower caps are provided. Would definitely stay here again. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on this but they make a good baked potato!

Dolby Hotel Liverpool

Pros: Staff and view
Location: Excellent location
Brilliant for a one night stay, exceptional value for money at just £39 for a triple room. Not a good experience if you are a larger person as the toilet / shower were cruise ship cabin size (tiny) and all plastic. Staff were great, I have no complaints, you get what you pay for.

Nice hotel

Posted 28-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Everything was perfect except for the teeny tiny bathroom. You cannot turn in the shower without elbowing the wall. You probably won'y be able to close the bathroom door if you're sitting on the can. Other than that, the people at the front desk were all very friendly and the room was clean and excellent.

Cheap hotel close to liverpool attractions.

Posted 19-May-2014
Pros: Location and free parking.
Cons: Increase sIze of shower room and instal a lift for customers.
Staff helpful, evening meals of a generous size, nice lounge area. However the shower room in our room was very small, to the point that our knees hit the door while sitting on the toilet.
