"My wife and I absolutely loved spending the day reading and relaxing by the wood stove looking out over the fields, watching sunrises together. The check in process was easy, and everything was clean and extremely well maintained. The bed was fantastic to sleep on. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! It's a short drive to St. Andrews and a number of farm shops and other small towns. Well worth the stay!"

Communication from the owners was superb and they were welcoming and considerate - living next door they were on hand and supportive without ever intruding on our time or privacy. Wonderful selection of items in the kitchen and fridge to welcome us on arrival. Extraordinary views from the property. Good access to the local towns and area, and walks out of the door. The roads nearby are minor and require a little care, but nothing unusual. Brilliant...

"Thank you for a perfect weekend. House was so well located beside a garden centre and the coastal path - and in a beautiful area. It was ideal for coastal walks. Sun shone most of the weekend which made for lovely views of the sea and for exploring the surrounding villages. The house itself was comfortable and homely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook in the evenings - local produce was all delicious too. Jeanette couldn’t have been kinder as she offered us an early check in too...

"First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us)."

"We have been coming to this area once or twice a year for 23 years. My son and his family, live in the area. We are from the United States. We prefer the self catering rather than the bed and breakfast type places because we are jet lagged and tend to sleep in. We also don’t eat a large breakfast. So this type of stay allows us to not bother our family and we have all the comforts of home. It also serves as a home base so we can have day trips and have a place to come back to and rest. "We loved this location and thought the cottage was super cute. The fridge was dirty upon arrival and we messaged them via chat to let them know but they never messaged back, so we just cleaned it ourselves. The cottage is old which gives it character, but it could be cleaned better. There were many cobwebs and bugs in the cottage which wasn’t ideal. Overall, we would recommend the location but advise the owners to clean it better."

"Absolutely beautiful stay. The lodge itself was gorgeous, in a great setting and the views are spectacular. Quiet and peaceful, no disturbance whatsoever. The surroundings are just spectacular. "The apartment is very comfortable with all you need. Well presented and spotlessly clean throughout. Within a minutes walk from Pittenweem harbour, with parking on the street outside. The terrace looking straight out to sea and the Isle of May is wonderful and we enjoyed drinks in the sunshine as we were fortunate with the weather for the end of April. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment - a cut above as my mother in law used to say."
