Great hotel

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: Staff were helpful at reception. Nice room spacious and clean with a large balcony. Adequate kitchen, good variety of food at breakfast.
Cons: Wifi signal was good, but Internet connection was poor.
Location: Good location, beach across the road. Bars, restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy close by. Bus stop just outside entrance
We have just had a week at this hotel, enjoyed staying there. The hotel is in a good location, has a nice pool, but is also just across the road from the beach. This is a family hotel though due to the time of year there were only pre school children while we were there, but there seems to be lots of activities organised for them. All in all a very good resort hotel, which we would recommend.

Great for families with everything you need on tap

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: The rooms were really large, more like a mini apartment each with a little kitchen. The rooms were cool, well furnished and the blackout blinds great.
Cons: Breakfast items could be kept a bit hotter and the pool could be warmer too! Ask the hotel at the back to keep their noise down.
Location: For us the location was great, we explored the whole island by car in a week (from end to end) and had everything we needed within walking distance.
Stayed here in Nov 2014 as a couple and had a really relaxing time. The hotel was full of families with small children and if you cant handle the noise of children then this probably isn't the place for you. Saying that we still had a great time using the hotel as a base to explore the island using a hire car. The food here is really good. A great selection, different every day. With freshly cooked buffet items and also show cooking style on demand options. We didn't eat here for lunch as we were half board, and didn't need to either. We were so full from breakfast and dinner! Children are well catered for on the food front. The hotel has a large population of German guests and all tastes seemed to be catered for including allergy watchers. The pool was clean although a little cold for our liking. The beach is a few hundred metre walk from the front of the hotel through the gardens or through the shopping centre. The beach is really clean with showers and really good disabled facilities including ramps and toilets. Wifi is 10 Euros for 7 days (2 simultaneous devices) which is pretty reasonable and the coverage isn't bad. If you hire a car you can get a gate barrier key for a 10 Euro deposit which allows you access to the hotel's private service road and parking areas. We parked right next to our room.

H10 Gardens Lanzarote

3 points to consider; - The reception staff should NOT recommend the short Volcano tour for families with young children The round trip transfer time on the coach was 2.5hrs! - The restaurant gets too busy and there are not enough tables at peak times - Food is average and the standard hot plate options were burgers and pizza

Great family hotel

Posted 25-Oct-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, pleasant surrounds, good food selection. Although it was a nuisance to us, the family entertainment did seem well presented and varied
Cons: There's a charge for wifi which is OK - if you want resource that cost the hotel, you should pay. But the room safe just sits there so should be free.
Location: Handy for Cucharas beach and lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Good quiet eateries - head right 100yds and look behind post office
Firstly, as a mature couple on B&B basis in October, we were not the mainstream clients of the hotel. This is a family oriented place and most people were on half board or All Inc. Nevertheless we had a comfortable stay and it was pleasing to watch youngsters enjoying the facilities and tucking in to their meals. We only had breakfast included but the selection was very wide, plentiful and constantly refreshed, especially stuff like eggs and omelettes. The staff in the restaurant kept everything clean and tidy, and finding a clear table was never a problem. The room was comfortable, with a kitchen-sitting room/balcony, and a double bedroom. The main issue was that the location was noisy in the evening and early morning. From room 207 in block 1, the balcony and bedroom window opened right on to the where people come out of reception to go to the pools and other apartment blocks. It was also directly opposite the bar/concert room, so as we were relatively early to bed (10:00) for an early start, the noise from the shows and bar was a real nuisance. Being by the door, it was also the place where smokers would come and stand. Block 1 was the main admin and we were directly above the equipment rooms used for the entertainment staff, often banging and other noise. The noise of trolleys and suitcases rattling along the tiled paths was annoying in the evening and early morning. Having said that, if you plan to spend the evening out or in the bar, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Great for kids

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Myself and my son had an excellent time and the staff we're excellent and entertaining. The kids club was great once he settled in. He made great friend with the staff and the fact you see them throughout the day and evening they become part if your holiday and experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk organised flowers for me for my mothers anniversary of passing. I am looking forward to going back and seeing the team again. It's very good at catering to families with kids of all ages even the adults who want to be kids again. Amazing

Great family hotel close to the beach

Posted 22-Jun-2014
Pros: Closeness of everything Quiet family resort with plenty to do Really helpful friendly staff always
Cons: Air-con or blower in the room as could get very hot
Location: There's a small town centre close by with lots of bars and restaurants and a few tourist shops plus a few normal shops. Easy to hire bikes or cars.
The overall experience when from start to finish was great. We had some potential travel changes before the trip that they gave us helpful advice on what we could change and we also asked for the two rooms to be close to each other and for one to have a cot. When we arrived they advised that they hadn't been able to put on same floor but had put us directly above the other room right next to stairs but if it wasn't suitable they'd change us. It was perfect as was the fact they'd put cots in both rooms. The rooms were comfortable and recent refurbished. They had a bedroom a balcony, a lounge kitchen (with appliances) and a bathroom. All very clean and well presented. The facility itself was great, excellent pool, loads of sun beds so never difficulty getting one, about 250 yards from the local sandy cove beach with water sports facilities and lots of places to eat and drink. The all inclusive option was great with a good selection of food at every mealtime and with roughly a 3 hour window for each meal so no queuing or rush to make certain times. The entertainment in the evening was provided by the blue team and was well done, good fun and good for youg to older children.
