Hotel location is excellant

Posted 17-Dec-2014
Pros: Location ideal for beach,. promenade and shopping. Staff were nice, particularly in Dining room.. Food was good and plentiful.
Cons: Reintroduce sun loungers to the balconies and room refurbishment.
Location: At the rear of the hotel there is a prom and a sheltered bay, ideal for sea swimming. There are plenty shops,,restraurants and bars near the hotel.
Paperwork from Be Live quoted that check in time was 2 pm, On arrival at hotel reception we were informed that it was 3 pm. On arrival we discoverd that the Hotel was under renovation this came as a shock. Nobody had informed us even though we had booked the hotel 3 months.in advance beforehand.. The hotel regards us as repeater clients.- March and December every year for the last 13 years. ( Be Live bought the hotel from Occidental approx. 2 years ago) Work took place inside and out only during the day. There was banging and grinding and the smell of paint. The advertised heated pool was empty and getting coated in Fibreglass There was a strong smell of the curing chemicals.,

Beach front

Posted 15-Dec-2014
Pros: Good food
Cons: Get rid of worst bands, just impersonal care.
Location: Swim and see the volcanic island.
Good position, man made beach in front, good for children - calm water, also snorkeling is easy here. Had car and saw island. Objected to wrist bands for half board, cut them off, kept them with the card info but never asked identification.

Beautiful hotel our second time to go this year.

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, comfort, friendliness.
Cons: May be the pool could be a little warmer but it's not a complaint.
Location: Location as I said is perfect, near all amenities . Near a beach. Lovely promenade walks.
We were on bed and breakfast board and every morning we had a super breakfast. The staff were very pleasant. We were straight across from a beach and all shops, restaurants were close walking distance. I would definatly go back.

Nice enough hotel, but needs refurbishment a.s.a.p

Posted 27-Sep-2014
Pros: Pleasant staff. Good food. Lovely pools, although salt water, close to nice beach. Close to other bars, restaurants and shops.Taxis close by.
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms. Tea and coffee facilities as standard for all rooms. Better air conditioning. The hotel is ready for refurbishment.
Location: well located near to shops restaurants and bars. Taxis outside hotel. Good beaches nearby with sunbeds and umbrellas.Teguise market on Sunday is great
The staff are all very pleasant and we were given a room near to the lift, as requested. Our room was a standard sea view room and the view was lovely, overlooking the pool and sea. The food is good, plenty of variety, although after two weeks it can become a bit boring. We were half board and changed evening dinner for lunch and went out several evenings, as there are plenty of good restaurants and bars close by, just a short walk away. On the negative side, the bed was uncomfortable and the room furniture was rather tatty. The air conditioning is very poor. The A La Carte restaurant has been closed for approx. two years, which was a disappointment. If you are expecting a kiddies club, there isn't one any more. You have to pay 2euros per day for a kettle if you like a cup of coffee in the morning. Although we enjoyed our holiday, the hotel was a little disappointing, not exactly 4 star treatment.

Not what we expected

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Location was great next to beach and short walk to main strip. View was fantastic from room. Food was very good, towels & room cleaned daily.
Cons: Definitely needs updating in all areas. Night time entertainment could be improved, that too needs updating, not aimed at all age groups.
Location: Excellent. 2-5 minute walk from main strip loads of shops, bars & restaurants to choose from. Beaches close by. A quiet resort for a relaxing holiday.
Superior room booked, it was disappointing (far from superior, more low end standard), needs up dating, air con cover coming away from wall and the output was very poor even when on full!! The bed was a double, however it was very uncomfortable, it was as hard as nails and only one small narrow pillow per person. Even though we booked a superior room, we still had to pay for a kettle and cups (the kettle which we had been given had to be exchanged as it kept tripping out the main circuit breaker of the room ).The wifi which we paid for was not great, connection kept dropping out all the time when you were in your room. As for the bottle of Cava and fruit basket on arrival still waiting to receive or direct us to it !!!!! Slippers, what slippers never received them. Fully equipped room with amenities ??? No it was not. More electrical plug sockets needed, only three in room, these were all in use with fridge,TV and hair dryer (in the bathroom) had to keep unplugging the fridge( only one accessible) to use the kettle !!!! floor tiles loose and cracked. Found the hotel staff a bit of a mixture, some where very abrupt and not helpful at all. Apart from Nikki on reception who was very helpful and polite at all times and the room cleaners were also pleasant and considerate. The main inside rotating bar area was surrounded by sofa(seating) that was very dirty looking. I would not class this as a 4 star hotel a low end 3 star at the very best.

Established hotel in a great beach location

Posted 05-Sep-2014
Pros: It's close proximity to the beach and the friendliness and efficiency of restaurant staff.
Cons: The plumbing and decoration in the hotel rooms
Location: Excellent child friendly beaches, water sports and excellent running/walking/cycling facilities near by. Shops, bars and restaurants very close.
Very relaxing, pleasant sunshine holiday location. The hotel is perfectly situated with excellent sea views and in very close proximity to walkways and sandy, beaches. The rooms themselves are a little dated, however there are plans in place to remodel those. There is so much to do in and around the hotel for all ages.
