Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Staff very friendly and gave great recommendations for restaurants in La Ciotat, and sightseeing tips. View room with balcony overlooking the port is worth the upgrade. The facilities are modern and very clean. Parking garage under hotel a little hard to find, but convenient. Large crane right out front that other reviewers mention should not deter anyone from staying here- this is definitely the nicest hotel in the area though it is in the working port end of town.
our stay @ the Hotel Miramar was very enjoyable. our room had a tiny balcony that faced the water and it was very nice to fall asleep to the sound of the surf. although i found it looking for a hotel in Cassis, it is not really in that town. but it was a lovely resort area. the fish & mussels in nearby restaurants were delicious.
the only negatives were: our French was minimal & the staff English was the same - and the room was a little small. we would definitely return (hoping for a slightly larger room.)
We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is well located in relation to the sea front. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was also totally adequate.
Pleasantly surprised by Victoria Gardens and nice reception by Stephanie who spoke good English. Our room was on ground floor in front of the nice pool where our children spent a lot of time... Shame the pool had to close at 7pm in summer.
Would we come back? Yes. A modestly priced self catering apartment handy to La Ciotat so long as you have a car.
