"This was our first time in a Ryokan! And we loved it!! We enjoyed wearing the Kimonos provided and having a multi course dinner! They were also able to provide vegetarian options for dinner as well. The onsen at the hotel was much larger and nicer than the free ones outside the hotel. There is a toilet in the room but no shower, so you have to use the public bath to shower."

"What a gem! Shibu Onsen Ichinoyu Katei is an experience in itself. A short ride from Yudanaka train station, this tradițional ryokhan is excellent. "Our stay started off well with a shuttle pick up from the station. The traditional look and style of the Yorozuya is beautiful. My husband and I booked the private spa for 2 hours our first night and it only cost $100 for us both to use. The private spa was absolutely amazing and even though it was modern compared to everything else, I loved that it was a private all inclusive experience that my husband and I could enjoy the baths and sauna together at our leisure. The rooms are in a more traditional style with paper sliding doors, tatami mat floors and Yukata supplied for guests to wear during their stay.
