"Lovely home, perfect location, very responsive manager and owner"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sam's. It was very clean and the perfect location in Seward to enjoy the town. The house is well equipped and comfortable. I would recommend it for a short stay. I know the dated plumbing is mentioned, but flushing the toilet even with one piece of TP makes it gurgle and made us nervous. The shower also did not drain properly."

"Stayed here for two nights in September. Was very close to everything and had a very nice fire pit in the backyard! Cabin had ample cooking options and pots, pans and utensils. Quite a bit of traffic noise at night but didn’t notice with windows closed. Did see the Aurora here as well! Owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Short drive to the Kenai Peninsula. Would definitely recommend!"

"We were very disappointed, as it did not match the pictures. Property was unkempt and overgrown with weeds. The outhouse had cobwebs and was not very clean. The cottage was a bit rundown, and poorly supplied. There were no paper towels or tissues, and only 2 little kitchen towels and 1 washcloth, so it was difficult to maintain any decent hygiene, or even wash the dishes. If you are considering this place, bring towels and all your own supplies. "

"Good: rooms were big and airy. Bad: paid deposit at time of booking and the other half was supposed to be paid at stay but the 2nd payment was charged to my credit card a month before actual stay. Had 2 pull out couches, 1 the frame was broken and the other was uncomfortable "

"Beautiful setting and quiet neighborhood. The building seems to lack insulation against noise from the upstairs apartment. We could hear people peeing in the toilet above the bedrooms, every step they took and doors closing. When the toilets flush or water runs there’s also a loud pump. The walls inside the apartment are thin as well. So if noise is an issue for you to get a good night sleep this probably isn’t a good place to stay. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. "
